Features

  • Automatic egg turner every 90 minutes The OBI-12 turns the eggs fully automatically every 90 minutes. Even heat distribution without manual intervention for a reliably high hatch rate.
  • High-precision temperature and humidity control These egg incubators for hatching eggs provide a temperature accuracy of 0.1C for optimal incubation conditions. The LED display clearly shows temperature and humidity at all times.
  • Integrated incubation lamp for embryo control With the built-in LED candling lamp, embryonic development can be checked without interrupting the incubation process. Check fertilized eggs easily and without interference.
  • Temperature alarm for safe incubation The integrated alarm warns immediately in the event of temperature deviations. This keeps the brood under control at all times also suitable for beginners and families.
  • * : A normal hatch rate is between 55% and 75% but this can vary due to a wide variety of environmental and biological factors. ** : When you unpack the incubator, do not throw away the insulation foam, because you can use this "Eggloo" foam in cold weather, to keep your eggs warm!

  • Candling light doesn't work, but everything else is perfect; hence, 5-stars
Color: Yellow
I put this to use as soon as it came in, but I waited until the 21-day period was up before leaving this review so that it would be accurate. It does everything it says it will and I love that it is pre-programmed to the correct temperature and humidity levels with an alarm that goes off when/if it falls below those numbers. We had 3 of our 12-egg batch to hatch, and only one of the 12 had the "ring of death". However, we did have a couple that stopped growing after they started to form and died. Remember that this is NOT anything against the product, as that is normal in all hatchings.....only 50% at most usually make it. I have put in my next batch today. I love that it is space saving and can be used for more than chicken eggs. The light on top is not very strong, so it doesn't do egg candling very well; my phone's flashlight does a better job. I really wish it were brighter, but it isn't a deal breaker for me personally. It still does everything else, including (and most importantly for me personally) self-rotates. I will be buying another one soon, as I am getting more eggs than can fit in just one, and my chickens do not like sitting on their own eggs. ... show more

  • Not perfect, but seems good for price
Color: Orange
Received package in good shape, and rather quickly. I have it set up, and warming before I place my eggs, seems to work properly. Humidity level is a little hard to control, its reading 24 points higher the what its set to, and about 15 points higher then my other meter. The temperature reading seems to be off around 1 1/2 - 2°. Seems manageable with some adjustments. I will update in a few weeks. ... show more

  • Awful
Color: Yellow
First off I received this incubator and it was supposed to be brand new, it definitely seem used there is wear and tear on it already and it was missing the humidifier bottle and the rotators for the eggs to sit on. On top of that I have had a hard time with trying to get it to 60% humidity after it being on 4 hours it’s still at 71%. ... show more

  • Excellent incubator
I have run this incubator through 4 batches of chicken eggs non-stop since I purchased it, all with high success rates. The unit is 12 VDC and comes with a 12 VDC to 120 VAC power supply and a 12 VDC battery clip should you want to want to set it up to run from a battery for back up. I like the humidity meter that shows % so that there is no guess work with the humidity of the unit. It will hold about 12 chicken eggs, less if they are large eggs. Mark your eggs with an X on one side and a 0 on the other with a PENCIL (The graphite will not harm the chick) to visually confirm that they are turning, they can get held up if they are touching a wall or other egg. ... show more

  • Great small incubator
Worked great just have keep close eye at the cycle end make sure there is enough water in there I’d recommend for someone who wants to hatch a few chicks!

  • A great incubator
The media could not be loaded. I found this incubator is so easy to set up and love all the features, alarm for temp, automatic turning, candling light and easy to add water. The only thing is I felt comfortable doing 8-9 chicken eggs. 1st batch was 9 and second is 7. Ig depending on the size of the egg. My 1st batch, all my eggs that were fertile hatched and still waiting on 2nd batch to hatch. I took out the rollers on day 18 . I recommend this if you have smaller batches to hatch and def worth the 39$ I paid. ... show more

  • Terrible
Color: Orange
Please do not buy this incubator. The humidity goes out of control. It’ll be high one minute and low the next and I folded all the directions and it’ll be high and then it’ll get super low to like 29 and if you just put a little bit of water in it, it’ll skyrocket to 72 humidity don’t buy this please!!!!! ... show more

  • I'm not sure if the incubator is reading correctly on the humidity or the temperature
Color: Green
The media could not be loaded. Everything came complete. My problem is the humidity reading gets higher as the water gets lower and I bought hygrometers and the difference in the humidity reading is quite a bit higher with the hygrometer and it is with the incubator, but what's more surprising is the temperature on The hygrometer is lower, reading 97.6 when it says 100 on the incubator. ... show more
