I've had multiple knee surgeries and like most folks the toilet can be a challenge with limited range of motion, pain and angles at which we have to shift to do the necessary. The wall on one side of my toilet has a door that slides into it, so it could not have a handicap rail installed. I got the raised toilet seat and saw this device that provides rails on both sides, requires no permanent installation, is adjustable and stabilized. The weight capacity was also comforting for a larger person. My grandson put it on in minutes. All the adjustable components allow you to customize the fit. Even after I remove the lifted seat I may leave this on as I have balance and dizziness issues. Once it was adjusted right, getting use to the sturdy support was good, I weigh about 305 lbs. and it is strong enough for me, in getting up & down. I am disabled from a broken back. Thanks for the right product

These hand rails were the most adjustable set I could find. I like the wide bases on the sides, it really adds stability. The only downside for me was that the stabilization arms with the suction cups were not quite long enough to reach our toilet. I ended up buying some parts to extend them. They are M10 with a 1.5 pitch, if anyone needs to find parts. ... show more

There are a lot of those toilet-seat-with-handles kinds of deals out there, but I was looking for something a bit more stable. This is actually a framework that goes around the toilet and sits on the floor. It’s not perfect — the adjustment screws for the armrests don’t tighten down as well as I’d like — but overall it’s pretty good.     • Sturdy and what I was looking for
The package this came in was beat up, and taped and retaped, which made me wonder if this was not exactly brand new. That's why I give it four instead of five stars. However, all the parts were there and I was able to put it together by myself, (I am 70) although had some trouble figuring out how to attach the suction cups to my toilet to make it stable. The written directions were terrible, so had to figure it out by looking at the picture. I bought this because of upcoming knee replacement surgery, and the toilet safety rails I was given by my health care provider were not stable and would probably fall apart while I used them. So, I bought this, and I am pleased. I don't think I will fall with this, and will probably keep it even after the new knee is healed. And it fits in my really tiny bathroom ... show more

This toilet safety rails (where you put your hands) wobble and forth. I believe this would be dangerous to some that needs something firm and stable to hold on to.
