  • Worked for a little bit
Size: X-Large Tall Color: Black/red/black (5283IS)
It was a great suit for a while, but then, after a season, the back zipper kept unzipping. Every time a big wave would come no matter how many times I zipped it and secured it

  • Excellent suit with sub par materials!
Not sure what body style O'Niell has used as their template but it has been a really funky one across the board going on 2 decades. The legs are ALWAYS TOO SHORT no matter which one you go with XL, X2XL, 2XLL. I'm 6'3 normally 210-225 and I can wear an XL in most brands. I've had some injuries and have fluctuated between 210 and 255. The 2XL still fit me at 255 but like every single ONiell I have bought over the last 15+ yrs, the legs run at least 2-3inchs short. Even with the 2XLL. There is ZERO extra leg length, although it's supposed to be for 6'3 - 6'6. All that extra room is from the crotch up and leaving a huge amount of wetsuit up top, loose and too wide, with the legs 2 in above your ankle. I'm not a weird body style with a long legs and/or long/short torso. I'm actually exactly as you'd hope to turn our portioned wise. With broad shoulders and legs, arms all the length of an athlete of my height. The weight and sizing with O'Niell has been off a long time. And when I order one and get a deal on it I just deal with the short legs and the rest of the suit usually fits good. It always feels like a XLS OR 2XLS when wearing it. Excel & Matuse are the only brands that get the correct lengths right. The material in the 1st one that came to my house was awesome. Both the legs and arms were super buttery as we've come to expect these days in wetsuits. But the last one that came once I figured out my exact size. Came with a defect in the ankle and the bottom half of this brand new suit, never opened, was COMPLETELY different than the arms. Not a subtle difference either, it was like putting my legs into a cheap $99 suit in the 80's and sinking my arms into the buttery soft material that is now in all suits. I'm super disappointed because I REALLY NEED THIS WETSUIT. But with the defect and the 2 completely different materials, this one's going back too. I really hope this epic company figures out sooner than later that something is not right here and the sizing is a joke. One I know every single guy who's been surfing for 40yrs I know, have all ditched this brand for the same reasons. Bummer because the suit is legit for the money. ... show more

  • Very nice quality & comfortable!
I purchased this in “good condition” with wrinkles for a great price! I don’t really care about wrinkles when surfing haha The material is really stretchy, nice quality and comfortable. I sized up in this suit and it’s got extra wiggle room. Would purchase again!

  • comfortable suit, just the right amount of warmth for 65 degree water.
worked really well. easy enough to get into and out of. the suit has no zippered arms or legs so its a bit of a fight but no worse then many of the other suits i have been in. downside is the zipper tab (the cord you pull to zip up the suit) is about a foot too short. wrist and ankle zippers would have been super nice to have. ... show more

  • I recently purchased this suit and i do like the way it fits
Size: Large Tall Color: Black
I recently purchased this suit and i do like the way it fits, how i can zip it up myself, and my neckline is comfortable with the strap. I purchased the Large Tall and I'm 6'1 about 195lbs. One thing i did not like about this suit in specific is that it reeks!! Anywhere i place this item it starts to smell like weed. I put it in my closet and my mother accused my of smoking in the house. I left it in my car trunk and people inside the car would make fun and accuse me of being a smoker, when that's not the case. I even began to have headaches due to the smell and had nowhere else to put it so i took it out of my car and hung it up somewhere in my backyard, 50 feet away from the closest window. I wish it didn't smell so bad, then i would rate it 5 stars. I'm sure this is NOT normal and I'm unsure why this is the case. Even after wearing it out a few times with hopes of the smell going away, it's still there and it's super strong. If Amazon does see this I hope they can reach out to me and replace this or even just take it back because I really cannot stand the odor any longer. ... show more

  • Dave at Isnorkel - 5 stars!!!
I ordered a total of 5 wetsuits from various vendors on Amazon. Each time I received them I tried them on and they didnt fit as well as I would have liked. Dave at ISnorkel, sold me the 4th one. It arrived in the box with two sheets of paper. One was a Oneil size chart the other was a packing slip from Dave with his phone number. I called him to discuss how the suit fit and which one to tey next. I am not a small person at 6ft 3 and 220 lbs. We agreed I should try a 2XLT. Dave shipped it overnight and I had it the next day to try on two days before my trip to Capitola. Water was chilly but 3:2 suit fit great, looked great, and kept me warm for 2 hour sessions. Highly recommend Dave and ISnorkel. Hard to find this type of customer service. ... show more

  • LT worked for me.
Size: Large Tall Color: Black
I was worried about finding a wetsuit that would fit me. Most of the size charts do not have the correct size and weight for me. I am just barely 6'5" and 190-195 pounds. Most other wetsuit size charts would either put me in a XXXL for the height, and a L or XL for the weight. Most manufacturers offer a XLT or LT, but I would seem to be too tall for the LT (and XLT for some manufacturer) and too light for the XLT. O'Neill has their LT go up to 6'4" with my correct weight so I figured I would give it a try. The only thing I was worried about was the chest size. O'Neill has their chest size for the LT going from 40 - 42, and I am a 44. So it is a little snug, but it actually works out great. I do not have a problem zipping it up. The legs and arms are very snug, But I have been doing Landscaping this whole summer so I have fairly large arms and legs. I have a hard time getting it up around my feet, but it does make it so that there is very little water flowing through the wetsuit, even when I dive through waves and such. It has kept me warm so far. I stayed out bodysurfing in Southern California a week ago for about an hour and a half and was only slightly chilled at the end. I could have easily stayed out longer. Without a wetuit I would usually make it 30- 40 minutes before I was shivering too much from the cold. ... show more
