Chain cut very well straight from the package. Initial cuts were on a large dead oak I had cut down earlier. I was cutting and trimming up the 18" branches. No problems. I then switched to cedar trees which are very sappy this time of year. After cutting down 6 trees, all around 10-12", and trimming all of them, the chain held up very well. It needs a touch-up sharpening, but that is quite normal with all the cedars being cut. Four chains for the price of one is a winner in my book. ... show more

I absolutely hate sharpening chains, and am no good at it anyway. These chains stay sharp as long as any I've used, but are so cheap I treat them as disposable. Great solution for my very limited amount of sawing.
