I had been racking my brain for months trying to figure out what was wrong with my PC. Randomly, my PC was tripping the breaker in my room; I tried using other circuits...same problem. My first thought was the PSU - but my PSU was only 2 years old at the time and was an EVGA 1200w supernova, which is a reputable brand, or so I thought. Regardless, I figured I'd get a new PSU to see if that would stop the breakers from tripping. I purchased a new 850W EVGA Supernova and continued to have similar issues, breakers tripping, pc hard shutting off, BSODs. At that point, I figured it couldn't be the PSU as it was a brand-new replacement. I swapped the ram, swapped the CPU, replaced all the wiring throughout the system etc. and was STILL having issues. I was going pull my hair out as this had been going on for 5-6 months. I was about to replace the motherboard too when I decided, you know what? perhaps I should return the 850W EVGA PSU and go with an entirely new brand. So I went with this 1200W NZXT, and wouldn't ya know it, my PC is back to normal. It's been one month, no shutdowns, no tripped breakers, no BSODS. I've learned two things from this ordeal. One, EVGA PSUs suck. Two, NZXT PSUs don't suck.

I returned my EVGA Supernova G6 for this one instead. I'm very happy I did. The cables feel like higher quality. They're also nylon covered. You get a case for spare cables. Even the wall power cable feels so much nicer. *Update 250 days of use* I've had black screen crashing problems. Screens go black, GPU fans rev to full speed. Audio keeps going. Event viewer doesn't catch anything besides seeing the crash as a shutdown? This started a few months ago but it was so infrequent I didn't care. It then became constant, multiple times every few hours. Unplugging the 12VHPWR cable from the PSU side and plugging it back in fixed the problem for now. 4 months later the problem is back, unplugging and plugging the cable back in solved it for a month and back again. Nzxt will not honor the warranty unless you can objectively prove it's the power supply.

This product works as described and was a smooth replacement to my previous 800w power supply. Appreciated the full modular design to get rid of the extra pesky not needed cables that take up space. Those saying that the wires are "too rigid" are over exaggerating imo. They are exactly the strength needed to handle what these higher end machines demand. Had no issues with cable management. Great investment that can easily be popped out and back in another PC down the line. Well worth the $$

The coilwhine is pretty loud and annoying especially for a product as expensive as this one. My "cheap" Corsair PSU for my AM4 system is much quieter than this... I'm not very satisfied with my purchase. UPDATE: After a bios update there seems to be no more coil whine. Not really sure why. 5 stars

I absolutely love the braided cables, they really cleaned up the inside of my PC and improved my cable management big time! The PSU is very quiet, and was the perfect upgrade if you have a new high end GPU that requires the 12vhpwr connection as it has a dedicated plug no adapter required and does come with the cable required. My case is skinny so I did buy a 90° adapter at the gpu side but 10/10 recommend this psu. If you're on the fence, just buy it!
