Edit: bought 3 times. 2nd time lacked pigment, but they sent me a free replacement and it was good. I got the NYX Mechnical Eyeliner in the onyx (black) shade. It is absolutely stunning! It is definitely washable, not waterproof. This is what I was seeking as I do not like using makeup remover and prefer for all my makeup to wash away in the shower with a gentle facial cleanser. I find that makeup removers can be harsh on skin and can tear some eyelashes out. The NYX eyeliner can smudge throughout the day, but it takes a LOT to smudge. I took two naps, had wind blown in my face, and planted a tree and it remained perfect on my oily eyeliner with no primer. It did not last as long on my waterline, but that's to be expected, probably a few hours max. I haven't worn eyeliner in years now but I remembered recently that I really enjoyed applying it back in the day. I was shocked how easy it was to apply. I remember I used to use a product called Rimmel Scandal Eyes and this NYX eyeliner is incredible comparatively. It is so pigmented yet more smudge resistant. It glides on smoothly and is easy to shape. It is firm and does not seem like it will break. I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend to anyone looking for a very pigmented pencil eyeliner that is washable yet smudge resistant! Great price as well. ... show more

True black. Staying power. Doesn’t smear. Not as awesome as the Dior black eye pencil but maybe that’s just in my head. This is my second purchase and not my last.

Been looking for an eyeliner that doesn't end up making me look like a raccoon after a couple hours as I have oily skin. Tried a few different brands from my local store with no luck. Decided to give nyx a try and was pleasantly surprised. Goes on good, stays all day, and washes off easily.

Intense color and definitely stays on all day. The color is the perfect balance between brown and black. Only issue is the retractable pencil is soft and it does break off. Otherwise, it’s a great eyeliner, easy to apply.

This is by far the best eyeliner I have ever purchased. I have already purchased 3 different colors. It glides on very easily, plus stays on all day without smudging. I love that it's retractable and you don't have to sharpen it. I was purchasing another NYX eye pencil that I liked but it was really hard to sharpen, plus it would break off. I purchased this liner in a dark green but it really isn’t as dark as I would like. It applies well but definitely isn’t waterproof. I also noted that it isn’t an all day wear for me. I do have to reapply at least once throughout the day and it does smudge somewhat, especially on my lower lid. The pros are that it is contact lens safe and it doesn’t cause any irritation in my eye area. I think my search for a deep green eye liner will continue. ... show more

This eyeliner is soft and glides on easily. The colour remains bright and is flattering to my very green eyes. It has good staying power and doesn't seem to migrate down my face like some other products do.

This is the perfect water line liner to make you look like you got 8 hours of sleep! I will say it doesn't last more than a few hours on my water line so I do have to reapply at least once during the day if I want to maintain the awake look.
