Made of plush, super-soft elastic material, the NYOrtho plush abdominal binder secures post-surgical dressings and provides compression to the upper and lower abdomen while improving blood circulation and oxygen levels. This, in turn, reduces swelling and promotes healing.
  • MATERIAL: Made of latex-free, breathable material with soft medical foam panels that improve fit and reduce rolling. Features unique plush fabric in abdominal area to increase comfort during application and in use.
  • SIZING: Using a soft, flexible tape measure, find the circumference around the widest part of your body where you plan to wear the binder. 30-45 in. fits 30"-45", 45-60 in. fits 45- 60, 60-75 in. fits 60- 75, 75-90 in. fits 75- 90. Based on preference the NYOrtho plush abdominal binder is offered in 3 panel for shorter torsos and 4 panel for longer torsos or just for a more encompassing compression.
  • BREATHABLE: Designed with plush material on belly area that is soft and breathable to provide extra comfort for the user. Easily camouflaged beneath clothing due to white color and can be kept clean with machine wash on warm with mild detergent. Fasten hook and loop prior to washing.
  • INSTRUCTIONS: To apply binder on oneself detach binder from hook and loop and place binder around your waist, holding the side with the tag in your right hand. Using your left hand, pull the binder towards your abdomen. The more you pull in this step, the tighter the binder securement will be. Stretch binder with right hand until reaching desired compression and attach elastic to binder.

I've been going a while with a broken rib it will not it doesn't seem to heal I bought this hoping to hold together long enough to heal The only problem I find with it is the hook and loop part that connects to the soft fabric does not distort in size The fabric part that the hook and loop connects with has shrunk because of the constant tension on it by about an inch and I have to wear a t-shirt under it because the hook and loop part digs into my skin when you pull it tight and connect it together other than that there is no problem with it I'm planning on cutting the hook and loop part and shortening it in wet shortening the width by about an inch and a half so that it doesn't overlap on the soft material where it hooks on to That's the only problem I have with it and it only took a couple of days to the rash that it caused by digging into my skin constantly while I was trying to work outside so I think that would be a remedy ... show more

It does provide some support however it wrinkles very easily and it is somewhat difficult to put on.

In my case, it did not work. I did not like that i was not long enough for a regular man. I cannot say anything on the pain relief part of it, because my pain is being caused by internal torso inflammation which becomes more painful when you don't have enough length.
