- USE: Whether recovering from surgery or injury, or just in need of extra support, NYOrtho Abdominal Binders can stabilize your core and improve muscle tone. Made of plush, super-soft elastic material, the NYOrtho plush abdominal binder secures post-surgical dressings and provides compression to the upper and lower abdomen while improving blood circulation and oxygen levels. This, in turn, reduces swelling and promotes healing.
- MATERIAL: Made of latex-free, breathable material with soft medical foam panels that improve fit and reduce rolling. Features unique plush fabric in abdominal area to increase comfort during application and in use.
- SIZING: Using a soft, flexible tape measure, find the circumference around the widest part of your body where you plan to wear the binder. 30-45 in. fits 30"-45", 45-60 in. fits 45- 60, 60-75 in. fits 60- 75, 75-90 in. fits 75- 90. Based on preference the NYOrtho plush abdominal binder is offered in 3 panel for shorter torsos and 4 panel for longer torsos or just for a more encompassing compression.
- BREATHABLE: Designed with plush material on belly area that is soft and breathable to provide extra comfort for the user. Easily camouflaged beneath clothing due to white color and can be kept clean with machine wash on warm with mild detergent. Fasten hook and loop prior to washing.
- INSTRUCTIONS: To apply binder on oneself detach binder from hook and loop and place binder around your waist, holding the side with the tag in your right hand. Using your left hand, pull the binder towards your abdomen. The more you pull in this step, the tighter the binder securement will be. Stretch binder with right hand until reaching desired compression and attach elastic to binder.

After major abdominal surgery, I’m wearing a binder 24/7 for 5-7 weeks. The hospital discharged me with a horrible binder that constantly folded over on itself, usually with the crease in my tender bits. I got another one on Amazon that was better than the hospital one. But this NYOrtho one is definitely superior! The foam piece across the front is so comfortable, the amount of stretch allows me to easily get a good fit, and no rolling/folding!

This binder works as it should—tummy tuck recovery for me—but could be narrower. I have a shorter torso for my height I guess but wide hips so it folds down, wake up with it bunched up around my sides and back. So I only wear it at night. I have a nicer, stiffer sided one for day time. (Don’t need a faja because I didn’t have lipo.) But it works well for what it is. Easy to wash and super sticky Velcro!

I purchased this to wear at night after abdominoplaty. After just a few wears, the side where the velco attaches Beale misshapened and the Velcro will not attach completely. I can take a deep breath and it pops open

It’s Velcro it’s gonna stick to itself at times if not careful. Any Velcro item would. Love it. Gives support. Seemed less $$ than chest binders. I take it everywhere and will for a few weeks I usually wear a short sleeve fitted top underneath for comfort

I purchased this item in anticipation of wearing it to help with recovery from my upcoming abdominal surgery. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to wrap it around by yourself because there is no way to evenly pull the top and bottom of the brace at the same time, because one also needs to hold the other side of the brace in place - it requires at least 3 hands to do this efficiently. I don't have 3 hands. So, I figured out where it would feel most comfortable, and wrapped it to that position while it was on a table, and pulled it on over my hips. It worked and I was very happy! THEN...I moved. Unfortunately, the end of the brace with the velcro sticky part was wider than the other end that the velcro sticks to. This meant that the stiff corners of the velcro sticky part hung over the bottom part by a quarter of an inch or so on the top and bottom edge of the brace. These corners are fairly stiff, and they dug painfully into my skin even when I simply walked across the room. This was supposed to help me...but it is in the trash because of these issues.
