I bought the set with the subwoofer because I had the set without it and it lacked bass. The sound quality itself is good for the price.     • Poor Quality did not function as advertised
We ordered this as a reasonably priced speaker set. The 1st set we got the left speaker did not work we tried all the suggested ways to troubleshoot this. Ended up requesting a replacement which they did send. However that's set came with the same issue where the left speaker was just buzzing and the right had very poor sound quality with a pretty heavy rattle. Disappointing after all the good reviews. tl;dr—They're okay. Easy enough to hook up. The sound quality is okay. Except for the bass. The bass is lame. I had to check that it was even producing sound. I wasn't trying to buy great speakers. I am delighted with my Nylavee Computer Speakers with Subwoofer. This 2.1 Hi-Fi system provides clear sound with deep bass, which improves my music, movies, and gaming. The subwoofer adds a strong punch to every beat, and the overall sound quality is as good as more expensive systems. The 6 lighting modes are a nice bonus.     • Pretty! ... Pretty Disappointing...
I was very disappointed with the sound quality of these speakers and wound up returning them. It is possible that there was an issue with my personal setup, but as someone who works in IT I couldn't get these to sound nice. As usual with lower-end speakers they do fine in the talking-volume range, but once you get to any higher registers or the decibels start climbing, you start to really hear the scratchiness and tinniness that puts most people off. The colors were nice, I will add, but unfortunately when they did not deliver on speaker quality I cannot keep them based on colors alone. Perhaps this will work better for you, but if you are hoping for something to provide audio to a whole room, for example, these may struggle. ... show more

    • I can not tell you how happy I am to have music playing in my house again!
My soundbar died, so all I had for a long time was my headphones. I bought these for my computer and they have been such a mood lifter for me, to have music playing in my house again! At first I was not sure about the sound, and also needed to figure out how to use my headphones if needed because of the microphone. I asked GROK and it suggested I get a USB adapter for my headphones, which I did. Shopping for that I ran across a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Play! 3 External USB Sound Adapter for Windows and Mac, so I bought it and plugged my headphones in, played something and it sounded AMAZING! I thought that I wanted to try it with my speakers and am I ever happy I did. My Power Spec computer came with GREAT graphics, but did not come with a good sound card, using the onboard sound instead. This little USB adapter gave them the power of a Sound Blaster sound card, just like that. If you have these and you wish they sounded a little better, that USB adapter is not expensive, and it made a huge difference. My only worry with the speakers is that the volume knob is really flaky. It is not very adjustable at the low end, it goes from fairly loud to very soft. I have to fiddle with it a lot to get a good volume at times. That is why only 4 stars, though. ... show more
