  • Works and is perfect for a Zen guard
I put this in the middle of my Zen garden to keep him moist and water. The whole system is inside of a aquarium tank. Works as instructed.

  • A great way to add humidity to a plant cabinet (and the mist looks cool)
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this to add humidity to a plant cabinet and it has worked out well. I have it plugged into a WIFI switch and I scheduled it to run for 2 minutes every hour from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm- this keeps the humidity up without making everything soaking wet. As a bonus, the mist that it generates looks cool and I love to watch it- it is very soothing. There are some things about it that are helpful to know- 1. it splashes quite a bit, so you might want to put it inside something to contain that. I put it in a large stemless wine glass that I tilted over so it is almost on its side and propped up in a white plastic jar lid, but I want to try putting it in a small teapot as that would contain the splash well and I am 99% sure that the mist would pour out of the spout. 2. You need to use regular water with it- Reverse Osmosis water doesn't work well. I was hoping to be able to use the RO water so it would stay cleaner, but it only made about half as much mist as it made with regular water. 3. It does get a little gunky- I clean the mister and the glass about once a week. ... show more

  • These are garbage and DEADLY
If you're trying to use for fogponics look elsewhere. These are garbage and DEADLY. They were shocking me right out of the box some sort of electrical short is going on inside of them. Not only that but the Chrome will eventually leach into your nutrient solution after a while because these aren't sealed up correctly. They're glued with some really cheap stuff and I can see holes in the glue on the bottom. I admit I was trying to skimp on a few bucks. I usually buy mine from thehouseofhydro dotcom in a really nice kit with a floater and extra disks for about $30 a piece. These didn't come with the float or new disks. The adapter on these are total junk it's very flimsy The units get really hot hotter than they should. But besides the electric shock I get from these The fog output is not even a quarter of what my house of hydro units can produce. I can literally count to 5 seconds and the fog is up to the brim of my unit with the house of hydro foggers. These Cheap Chinese ones are actually bigger in size and they take almost 5 Minutes to produce the same amount of fog.. Yet it is still very thin. More like a mist than a fog. Don't waste your money I'm returning these ... show more

  • Yeah foggeh!
I got this to add to a second fogponic bucket. When I got the box, it was ripped open, came in a box for another product, and had water spots on it. Obviously I didn't get a new product, as was checked on the box (that or Amazon opened it to make sure the right product was in there) because the box was for a black plastic fogger with LED lights. (which I actually have from a previous order) I got this one because it had no LEDs and would decrease the chance for algae build-up in my grow bucket. Upon testing it, I noticed that the mist output was really nothing special, although it didn't shoot the water like the plastic one did as far up (that one did at least 9" of splashing) this one did about half that.. and the amount of fog was also half of my other one. It certainly isn't outputting enough fog to start an immature plant in a 5gal bucket, but as my tomato has a well established root system, it's not too much of an issue. 4/16/15 :Well I certainly must say I'm impressed; Despite the fog output being rather poor; it still manages to fill the entire 5-gal bucket with fog (using 1gal of nutrient solution). But it still requires a fairly long duty-cycle, I don't think anything less than 15-minutes on/off would be enough. 1/17/16: Well it happened, the fogger finally died (actually it died around October of 2015), so I'm not sure if the unit itself died, or just the disk needs to be replaced. The unit itself is starting to peel and get slightly rusted, and the ceramic disk is all scratched, so I'm going to see if I can order a new disk and start my fogponics back up indoors. ... show more

  • Overachiever!!!
I honestly wasn't expecting much, for the price. I thought it would be a flop that I could use to make my Halloween decorations look cool after it disappointed me. But... I was honestly surprised. I bought this to humidify a small "martha" tent that I am growing some pearl oyster mushrooms and lions mane in, so I need extra humidity. I set this atomizer on a timer to run once every two hours on fifteen minute intervals while I was at work. Let's just say I had to leave the tent open for a few hours to air out the excess humidity. Now I run it once for fifteen minutes per day and it does exactly what I need it to do! As long as there's a water source, this thing will definitely give you the mist for anything you need it for. ... show more

  • Lacking Longevity, unless using Distilled water.
For those seeking to add a touch of mist or atmosphere to a room, the Atomizer Mist Maker may seem like the ideal solution. However, despite fast shipping, the Atomizer Mist Maker did not provide a long-lasting solution. After a few weeks of great performance, the mist produced by the device began to slow down and eventually stopped altogether. Upon inspection, it was found that water minerals had adhered to the top of the device, rendering it unusable. In addition, the device also rusted out after a few months of use, further shortening its lifespan. Though the Atomizer Mist Maker may have been great for those seeking a short-term solution, there are better mist makers out there for those looking for a longer-lasting solution. We purchased the Atomizer Mist Maker, but wouldn't recommend it to others looking for a device with greater longevity. ... show more
