Killer price, Awesome Sound quality sub but with some kick too, really moves some air. Just don't abuse it with bass boosted music around it's RMS rating because that's really not what it was intended for that stuff is for the VC line. But if you want great sound, only plan on using smaller amp you will be pleased, it will rattle everything on just 2 or 3 hundred watts.... I thinking of using a couple and a 1500/1000w Dayton plate amp to make custom home theater subwoofer where they sound clean smooth full and rich noticeably Better than most of the high power performance subwoofers. Or using some for the main woofer in a pair of 3 way towers having a 6 or 8 for mids/mid bass and horn loaded tweeter with dsp active crossovers. That would be some epic towers ... show more

I'd have to say this was the worse purchase I've ever made. I've bought a few different subs in the past few years. The sound quality of this sub was lacking greatly. Not worth the money when there are other 8 inch subs sold that sound better. Upon arrival I noticed the package was a little damaged. Opened it up and one of the terminals was bent. Looked like they were poorly made terminals. But, I tried the sub out anyways. After putting it in a box and listening to it for a week. It sounded like something was loose. Bass notes didn't sound right. Kind of a popping sound versus the thump normally produced by bass notes. ... show more

    • Hard to install into the factory cabinet

Installed into a 2008 Jeep JK 2 door. It had to be fitted custom with cuts and holes drilled. It did not just fit in. It was too deep and the factory holes did not line up at all. But with a little engineering we got it in.

I have the entry n series 10s which sounds fantastic, decided to step up to v series 10s and got just what I wanted, the same sound quality but these beat you in your chest so you might want to do some pushups before you buy them. Fantastic subwoofer much louder than my pioneer champion.. double the wattage double the excursion. Word of warning. You need a box with a cutout hole of 9 inches. Some are 9.5 and 9 1/8. Those are just a tad too big for this 10 to screw into a box without wishful thinking. Other than that. I wish I bought this sub last year rather than my pioneer. Ironic really I blew a pioneer sub on a 5 Channel pioneer amp I guess it really does push 500 rms at 2 ohms. Did I mention it's insanely loud. It's over double the bass I almost busted the sunroof in my passat.. As it breaks in its getting deeper and much much louder. I'll update again in a few weeks.. 2 months later... It's deeper louder... Yeah! Its been a few months and the sub is incredibly loud and punchy and goes extremely deep and shakes the snow off my car! ... show more
