I ordered this shade to replace an older one. The directions were clear and I installed it with no problems. Since this in an inside the window frame, it does not block all of the light but does a good job of blocking light when closed. My only comment is that the pull chain could have been longer as it stops about 10 inches above the lower window sill. Works fine!

We ordered several of these shadesback in Jun 2026 and received them quickly. I didn't get a chance to install then for a few weeks, at which time I found out that 1 package was missing the harware kit. I sent their support team an email on a Saturday afternoon requesting a replacement hardware package. On Monday morning I had a response: they asked for my Amazon order number, and a photo of the package. I sent the requested info and the next day got a response that they were shipping the hardware - it was delivered that Thursday! As for the shades themselves: installation is straightforward, although time-consuming. I'm installing them in our RV and they have to be slightly adjusted to fit inside the valences around the windows. Once installed they do a great job of darkening the area. We recommend them wholeheartedly: don't be afraid to contact their support team if you find you're missing some pieces!

Setting up was relatively easy. The tape in the kit is a nice touch. Material looks good and quality is ok. I ll question the blackout part. I have enough light to illuminate the room. The curtain is only 1/10 inch from the wall and covers 4 inches on all sides. And still has enough diffused light. The pictures are from evening light with window facing east. Morning glow around the curtain looks like a bright ring during eclipse. Be advised, it will block a lot of light but not all. And you may still need regular curtains on the sides. Weight wise, looks are deceiving. I have a fan in the room and found this moving with breeze with windows closed. The aluminum weight provided is not enough weight. At this point I am not sure if I would buy a curtain like this. It works , but not the way I want it to. Quality: seems good. No issues in the material.

Easy install. Complete blackout. Only concern is that the chain/cord is plastic, so it is yet to be determined if the plastic stands the test of time. Good value for the price.

Less blackout than Walmart brand vinyl miniblinds and black out curtains. The first picture is taken without camera adjustments at 2p behind double thickness curtains. One is of the blind without the curtains showing significant light lineeakage around the perimeter. The final shot was taken at 11pm at night. My camera did adjust that one but was still able to capture details in a totally closed room. They function fine. I tried a 1" wider blinds but could not fit it into the brackets. You must install it outside your window to minimize the light leakage but the vinyl will still let significant light though.

Ive been looking for a good blackout window shade for the double window in our bedroom. The window is 70" wide on the outside of the window frame, and I got the 73" curtain. The curtain itself is more like 72" but the mounting hardware reaches 73" across. They included a clear plastic measuring tape, which I taped up to help with installation. It was possible to install with one person, but would have been a bit easier with two. The included drywall anchors are a bit flimsy and the first one bent, but luckily I had a spare. We have tried eclipse curtains, in the past but white ones still let in light. I installed this roller shade and wow, it works. I've included a picture with the lights off, and with daylight outside you can see just the tiniest bit of light on the side. At night, you can't see any light coming in at all. I imagine that mounting it backwards so it rolls under and fits even closer to the wall would eliminate even that sliver of light, but I like the look as it is. I will say that the chain does not necessarily move the shade super smoothly. But, the window shade seems sturdy enough, especially for the price. I'll update if anything changes but I am quite happy with this for now.

1) After installing the brackets, the shade seemed too wide to fit. The instructions don't mention that the pin at one end is spring-loaded. You need a thin metal blade to push the pin in enough to install the shade. 2) If you install the shade per the drawing, the product label faces into the room. When I tried to take down the shade it seemed impossible to do. Later, I found rotating the shade roller exposes a small hole - then you can use a tiny screwdriver to push the pin in. Instructions don't tell you this. 3) The two mounting brackets have different hole spacing for the screws. You can't swap sides and use the same screw holes. I later discovered you can swap the roller ends instead, so that worked for me. 4) The pull chain is plastic and seems like it may not last - time will tell.
