I got this yesterday and had to try it right away. I was really impressed with the flavor, no sugar substitute after taste. I just added it to my water bottle and shook it up. Mixed really well. The price is great for isolate. If i had one con for this product, it would be that it is very sweet however, it would make a great milkshake if you blended it with milk and ice. Yummy! I will be buying this again, probably the 5 lb. jug!

As a 70 year old I need extra protein, I found this and it exceeds all of my expectations. Dissolves easily, I use milk, and I can add what I want for flavor and sweetness. I use unsweetened cocao and raw honey, maybe a banana, sometimes peanut butter powder and it does not thicken like a lot of protein powders do. My body does well as it doesn't upset my stomach, and seems to boost my energy. They have different amounts of carbs so I chose the 30mg. Which gives me close to 1/2 the amount I need for the day. I have tried other brands, the ones that are pre-sweetened with stevia are just too sweet. I try to limit my sugar intake as it is (everything has sugar added, even hotdogs). Excess sugar is bad for the body so I prefer something with no sugar added. I like this so much that I subscribed to have it delivered to me once a month.

I'm not complaining about the size of the 5lb jar of this wheat isolate powder, nor anything else about it. Just be prepared for the fact it's a really big container. The included scoop makes measuring easy, and even with just a long spoon, it mixes in cold water just great. I went with the chocolate flavor for my first go, and it's surprisingly tasty—just like a real milkshake. The calorie content may seem high, but it's nearly all the whey protein, which is what you want for building muscle without putting on empty carb weight. Addendum: I've just tried the vanilla flavor. It's milder than the chocolate, not as heavy, and a nice change. However, I also typically add saw palmetto and collagen protein peptides to my shakes, and the vanilla doesn't conceal the slight bitterness of one of those (probably the palmetto) as effectively as the chocolate. It's okay and tolerable, just an observation. I think I prefer the vanilla overall because it's not as overpowering. I'm mixing other powders along with the whey isolate—saw palmetto and a collagen + peptides supplement—so I'm getting lots of good stuff in one nice big hydrating drink. I know this contains sucralose, and normally I don't like artificial sweeteners, but this is fine. I'm not noticing any unpleasant aftertaste and it goes down really nice after a workout. I'm going to try the vanilla flavor next. For those who don't want anything else, there's always the unflavored version, which I might give a whirl someday.

This is the second 5lb Container of this brand of Protein I have purchased. The first was the Milk Chocolate. I was satisfied with the Chocolate, but I decided to try something different this time. I chose the Strawberry Milkshake Flavored. As soon as I opened the package, it smelled like strawberries. I didn't notice any off-putting smells, as some have mentioned with some of the other flavors. I was initially concerned about changing flavors, because I had seen a bunch of recent reviews about the Vanilla Flavored mixes not tasting the same as it used to, and thought the other flavors may have been changed too. Many people mentioned the product they received was quite different, and no longer tasted good at all. In any case, I decided to try the Strawberry. I'm pretty glad I did. This stuff really does taste like a Strawberry Milkshake! It's pretty good. I mix mine with about 10 ounces of Whole Milk, 5 grams of Creatine Monohydrate, and about 8 inches of frozen bananas in a blender. The Powder mixes well and it actually makes the drink kind of "frothy." But the best thing about it is that it is kind of an after-workout treat, and something I look forward to at the end of my workout. My only complaint about it, is that the container is huge and it probably takes up quite a bit of space in a landfill. If they could figure out a way to compact the product and still provide the same numbers on everything, that would certainly make it a bit easier to rate a bit higher. That's why I am at a Four on this one. I have to trust the numbers provided by the Manufacturer are correct. I will definitely purchase this flavor and product again, and have been looking at the Salted Caramel too. Maybe that one will be next.

I'm subscribed and just received my 2nd five pound container. I love this stuff. The #1 requirement I have is no artificial flavors. Crushed Ice / Well Water / Malt Extract / Raw Cacao / Pure Vanilla / Heavy Cream / Protein Isolate I didn't like protein shakes very much until I developed this recipe Tastes like a scrumptious black & white malted milkshake and it's irresistible Malt is a sugar known as maltose. It breaks down into two glucose molecules, which is our brain's main source of energy. Honey contains fructose and only trace amounts of nutrients Malt extract contains protein, essential amino acids, soluble fibers, vitamins B2, B3 and B6, the minerals iron, calcium and potassium and the micro-minerals magnesium, manganese and selenium. Malt is made by soaking grain and allowing it to sprout. It is then dried and sometimes roasted, and then ground into malt.
