The prices for garden augers is all over the place so I didn't know what to expect when this deal has three different sized augers for a very reasonable price. I was pleased and surprised when they arrived and I saw how well they were made. However, in my opinion, it's important to know what to expect. I wanted these to make holes in soil that was ALREADY cultivated as well as mixing garden soil/mulch/fertilizer in a bucket or tub and they worked perfectly for that. I would also suggest considering how heavy-duty your drill is. It would not be difficult to be overly aggressive with these and quickly wear out a light-duty drill. That's not the fault of the augers. Also, if the augers are loosening in the drill chuck, that's the fault of the drill's chuck.

3 sizes at a great price. Sturdy (no issues with welds, etc.) Works with a regular drill and also with cordless drills (with less torque).

It works magic through the clay and rocks!! I digged out 5 huge holes for large trees. There's only 6 inches of soil and clay with rocks underneath. I digged out holes 3 ft wide and 2 ft deep with these tools. And I'm a "girl" 😉

I've dug many holes by hand on my property in 20 years with a pick and shovel. The ground is decomposed granite. Swing a pick as hard as you can only goes and inch. Then soak, then pick. Then soak. It takes days to plant anything. With the 4 inch on a Ryobi cordless, I drilled 10 holes the night I received it. Maybe I'll do a video.
