I purchased this exact rug from RUGUSA in smaller sizes for my entry ways. They are great for cats. The cats claw at them and since there isn’t loops on the rug the rug stays intact. Cleaning is only surface cleaning for such a large rug. I use Clorox wipes for accidents and such and since there is a subtle print with in the weave of the rug it’s hard to see stains. I have washed the smaller versions in my front load washer and the braids come apart from each other. I use nylon thread to hand sew them back together and it does fine. I wash them every six months or so depending on weather and traffic. There is not a backing to these so I purchased 1/2 inch thick non slip rug pads. With our a thick rug pad these slide everywhere ... show more

I have several of these, in various sizes, so it’s safe to say that I do like this rug a lot. It takes a couple of weeks to lie completely flat…🤷🏼♀️ because of the way they’re folded/rolled for shipping. And yes, they do have ‘flaws’ or as I like say ‘character’ due to the natural fibers which will be common in most braided and loomed rugs. This one is soft on bare feet and easy to clean. Just know what you’re getting so that you won’t be disappointed…. It’s a nice, soft rug that can take some moderate to high foot traffic…I have a cat who thinks we purchased this just for him 🙄🤦🏼♀️ and it’s holding up just fine. ... show more

I bought this rug a few months ago and noticed today that one of the braids is already pulling apart from another, creating a hole in the center of the rug. Totally bummed since it is past the return window of 30 days, but I feel like this rug should be sturdy enough to hold up for more than 3 months before major tears in the construction occur. Definitely cannot recommend this product when it falls apart in such a small amount of time. ... show more

I have 3 of these rugs (different but large sizes) so it’s safe to say I like it 💁🏼♀️. It does take a week or 2 to lay completely flat 🥴🤷🏼♀️ but worth it to me. For the price, it’s a great rug… easy to clean, doesn’t show dirt, and soft to walk on barefoot. Yes, as with almost any braided rug there will be a few minor ‘defects’ (but not holes!) …but to me it just gives it a more casual (with character) look to it. If you’re looking for perfection then a braided look rug is probably not your best choice. But if you like the laidback, casual, low maintenance look then you’ll probably really like this rug. ... show more

While I love the color, texture and appearance and I've received many compliments, this rug snags easily and is not easy to spot clean. But I do still like it. I just may have to buy another one a year from now.

I have this inside in front of the door to help clean off paws and shoes to limit stuff tracking through the house. Mud, leaves, snow have all cleaned off it easily. It’s soft but not plush, so is pleasant to walk on barefoot (I have another down a hallway to help with noise).

I have kids and it’s under my dining table, so that might factor into it, but it has a few spots where it’s already tearing. Pretty easy to clean and cute but I’m wondering how long it’ll last.
