I've always wanted but have been a bit leery of buying a full jute rug. Reading some reviews you can tell that some can have issues especially if your expectations aren't in line. I got my rug today and I just love it! No moisture/damage. The smell is quite light and it's a nice smell. My rug is 6x9 and I expected the smell to be strong. I have a lot of experience with sea grass rugs and they have a great smell for a few days and this is similar. The rug has no real flaws/issues. I was prepared to have to cut off some pieces but I don't see ANY that need to be trimmed. I did vacuum both sides thoroughly but I don't think there was much debris. The rug is thick and relatively soft under foot. It's a nice natural look. Only warning is watch if you have a door that swings over the rug as it's thick though I'm sure as I walk on it it will flatten/compress more. ... show more

I wasn't quite sure this was the right rug for my entry way... but it definitely is! I love it! Not super comfortable on the feet but most people are just walking in my house with their shoes on anyway. Beautiful and well made.

Lays flat, I use in my living room, looks great, great thickness so you don’t need a pad underneath. Color is def a beige/creme, comfortable, and is great. Hard to clean spills but as expected with these types of rugs- easy to vacuum as I have dogs

This rug exceeded my expectations, it looks like it was purchased from a high end decor store. It is perfect for my dining room. I can also see how it would look good on a covered patio. Only reason why I gave 4 stars is the texture is pretty scratchy/rough, I definitely wouldn't call it "soft". Definitely would not be able to use this in a bedroom or living room. Doesn't feel great on bare feet. Also not sure how it will do with crumbs or fallen food. The material probably won't be easy to clean. ... show more

I purchased this rug at the recommendation of a popular vlogger to go in my new home. I ordered it 3 months before I moved out of my apartment so I decided to put it down to see what it would look like. Unrolling the rug was a chore. It is extremely heavy...no way does the 6x9 weigh just 13 pounds as listed in the description. The rug itself was okay. It had a lot of little sticks poking out which hurt to walk on. It also had a lot of large knots that were also very uncomfortable to walk on. This rug stayed in my apartment for 3 months. I am the only one who lived there, so there were not a lot of people walking on it. When I got ready to move and started rolling up the rug I noticed a layer of sand on the floor. I literally swept two dustpanfuls of sand from under this rug. I had one of my friends help me take it outside on moving day and try to shake it out but it was so heavy that it was nearly impossible to shake out all of the sand. When I got to my new house I put the rug down, thinking it would be cleaner than it was. I have been in this house since September 1st. Last week, out of curiosity, I pulled the rug back and lo and behold more sand. So I rolled it up and took it to the trash. Also I noted that it had discolored on the underside and had streaks of yellow. I have replaced this rug with a pile rug and I'm extremely happy that I no longer have to deal with the painful sticks, fibers sticking to everything, and the endless amounts of dust and sand. I bought this rug for my kitchen. The rug was smelly and rough to the touch. If you were to purchase this rug, I would suggest an area that doesn't get a lot of foot traffic.

I don’t know why people are leaving this rug bad reviews. It’s fantastic! The quality of it is nice, it’s the perfect thickness and is a great value for money. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t slide around on my floor too much, it appears to be durable and seems pretty stable at the moment. Also, the color is EXACTLY what I thought it would be based on the picture. It is not too bright, but has more of an earthly look to it, which is just what I was looking for! I was very pleased how good this rug made my living room. My favorite part was the color I selected. It was perfect! Sadly for me, I enjoyed it only four months. I decided to “shake” the collected dust within our courtyard - which I didn’t get to do. I’m a senior living in a “Secure” ALA small unit apartment…my beautiful rug went missing! I’m sad someone here took it and no one “knows” anything! I guess it was a very desired item, it caused someone to be a Thief. ... show more
