Background: I am a single guy. My ex wife used to do most of the décor. This is my fist rug purchase, ever. I did not know the in's and out's of what to expect or how to buy a rug. I knew the size I wanted, 3'x5'. This product is 3 ft 3 in x 5 ft, and I knew it was going to be a little larger than the area I wanted to put it in. But all the other rugs I looked at did not have the color, size, style or packaging that I wanted. Therefore, I had to put a little bit under furniture. Shipping time was decent. I knew upfront that there was going to be a small delay. It was shipped within the stated time frame and arrived when I expected it to. It shipped rolled up. This is a BIG plus because so many reviews had the rugs folded over. I did not want to deal with getting rid of creases. There are NO creases in this rug because it shipped rolled up. The packaging was good, I presume. It had what I recognized as medical shoe booties on the ends of the roll and tight plastic wrapping. As far as I can ascertain, there was zero shipping damage. Unpacking was easy and within 24 hours it was laying flat for the most part. There is one corner that is still up a little, but it is slowly getting flat with no assistance. There was a "chemical" smell that dissipated really quick, a couple hours or so. It smelled like all the other new carpets I have smelled in the past. The corners are straight and appear 90 degrees. There are no curves in the corners. There is no apparent fraying or loose strands. There are a few strands that are slightly longer throughout the rug. If this is not meant to be, I like it, adds character. Those strands are not loose. Weaving appears consistent and tight. I do have 2 wonderful kitty cats that immediately thought this rug was for them. I had to inform them that they are not to scratch the rug (I will see how THAT works). So, any future loose strands could be from my cats and not defects. When the "chemical" smell dissipated, they both seemed to ignore the rug. The only "con" I have is the actual size. This is why I prefaced this review with my background. This may be how the industry works (like lumber having a nominal and actual size). The actual rug area, not the edges are 3 ft 3 in x 5 ft. The edges add about 3/8" to the size. For my situation, it does not matter. I am considering this something new I have learned. In fact, I am glad the actual rug area is actually 3 ft 3 in x 5 ft. The rug is soft, which is a characteristic I was looking for. The pictures represent the pattern and colors accurately. Durability and cleaning I cannot comment on...yet. I love this rug. It’s soft, much more plush than I expected, easy to vacuum, and it looks just like the picture. It’s on the medium pile side; not too short and not so long that it’s hard to clean. Despite the low price, it does not seem like a cheap/low quality rug at all. It looks pretty classy and it really ties our modern style interior together. If I remember correctly, I’m pretty sure the rug came a day or two early as well. It did have a bit of a factory smell when we first got it, but it dissipated after a few days. If you’re sensitive to smell, you might want to try airing it out before setting it inside. Our entire living room smelled a bit chemically for a bit, but nothing unbearable. Big plus for pet friendly homes. The only ones who love this rug more than I do are my dogs. Our dogs LOVE laying on this thing so much, and I don’t blame them. Comfortable I guess, but not thick at all. I ordered more than half the price of other carpets on Amazon and were more thicker than this. It’s a good carpet, but not worth at all for this price. Still keeping it tho becuz im picky in carpets. The size is good, but also not stable and is slippery The design is beautiful and color did come as expected I don’t smell anything and haven’t tried cleaning it yet so idk 🤷♀️ ... show more

Perfect area rug, great price. I needed an inexpensive rug to cover up the old, stained carpet in my daughter's room. I went with an inexpensive one because I have a teenager, two cats and a dog, and even expensive area rugs don't stay pristine for long. When the rug was delivered I was worried because although it was packed perfectly, it was rolled with the shaggy part on the inside and the backing on the outside. I was afraid it would take forever to stay flat. Yet, after 3 hours of airing out in the living room it had flattened out almost 100%, all the wrinkles were gone and it's fluffy. I put it up in my daughter's room already because the smell is very faint, and it's only "new rug" smell, for good reason - it's a new rug! No bother at all. I put some dumbbells on the corners for now just to make sure they stay down, other than that it is good to go, and cat approved already! Definitely recommendable. Love the carpet!! The reviews are all right. This was beautiful, so very soft and plush, and good quality, especially for the price. The strokes are more of a brownish gray but the rug is cream color. It did have a little new carpet smell when we first got it. Especially since it was sitting out on our front porch in the hot sun most of the day. So when I rolled it out, it was a little moist feeling and stinky. I immediately sprayed with a little Febreeze, turned on the fan and let it sit with nothing on it for about an hour. I had to use weights to hold down the edges too. We got the 12×14 and it fills the room as we needed it to. It has flattened out (including corners) well in less than a week with no special treatment. We had it in the house unwrapped for several days before putting it down and only noticed the new rug smell for a couple days.
