  • Amazing and simple answer to my Bluetooth issue in an older car
I was skeptical that such a tiny and inexpensive device could solve my Bluetooth issue in my car. To backtrack, I got an iPhone 16 and discovered that it would not pair with my 2012 Mercedes. I did not want to be forced to listen to the radio while in the car! Should I downgrade my cell phone or use ear buds in the car in order to stream music and use the phone handsfree? Or buy a new car?! Then I read the reviews on this device and gave it a try. Bam! It immediately paired with my phone and the fun began! You just need to charge it occasionally and, when I turn off the engine, I've learned to immediately pull out my key (the older car still uses a key) or loud static ensues until I do so. Have fun! ... show more

  • I love it!
I love this thing! The aux setting on my radio randomly stopped and this was a lot cheaper than a new radio. I will say the first radio station I tried was one that was just static and it did start going out when I drove in a bad service area, but then I tried a station where the radio plays clearly and it still connected and has played perfectly with no issues after a week so far. I will say I do unplug it when I turn off my car so it doesn't eat at my battery bc it will turn on as soon as it's plugged in. ... show more

  • Meets expectations.
Meets expectations, performs as described. Priced slightly higher than expected - worth it. Would be better if multiple connections or connection priorities were allowed. Easy to use essentially plug and play. Instructions unclear does not provide idea or example of device name. Have not lost connection or had issues with interfacing with device. Charger works and is a nice to have but not the reason for my purchase. Any real issues i have had or noted have been related to my car set up not the device its self. ... show more

  • Great product! I bought this little gem for my ...
Great product! I bought this little gem for my 1999 Ford Ranger. Evidently, I'm going through a mid-life crisis of sorts because I decided to add a 3 inch lift, bigger tires, and sweet wheels and get a little bit of that truck's youthful mojo back! After all, it was my first car after college and the only vehicle I ever bought new. I like that truck. Only one problem with the truck--it didn't have bluetooth. I like talking on the phone hands free (while driving) and I thought I'd give this one a shot. This was way easier to setup and get started that I thought it would be. The audio is clear. The transmission from the bluetooth device to the radio is seamless and I haven't had any cracks, pops, cross static, radio interference, or loss of signal. You can leave the hands free device plugged in for a few days, but if you leave it in too long it will drain the battery. I learned this the hard way (like I learn most things in life). The push to talk button works great with the iPhone and it actually dials better than the bluetooth device built into my Prius. Now that I think about it, that's exactly why I'm fixing up my truck. I drive a freaking Prius, people! And I wanted something with a little more grit to take camping AND talk hands-free while driving. I'm going camping after the first of the year and I really don't want to pull up to the site in a Prius. Don't get me wrong, I love my Prius. It holds TONS of gear, but it looks like a door stop. There. You have it. That's why I'm lifting my truck. The streaming audio works like a champ on this bad boy! I've been totally jamming to Christmas music lately on my Pandora station. After you pair the phone with the device, it's just as easy to stream music. Nothing like going down the road in a awesome looking truck jamming out to Otis Redding singing "Merry Christmas Baby". Honestly, the Bonnie Raitt / Charles Brown version of that song rocks too. They did a duet on the "A Very Special Christmas Album 2" album and it's fantastic. Both versions sound nice and clear on this! Side note: I haven't tried the micro SD slot on the handsfree yet, so I can't give you a review on that. Maybe I'll do an update when I get time. The only downside I've heard from it is not on my end. Sometimes the people I call say that they hear their voice echo. I'm assuming it's because they hear their voice coming through my radio. Actually, the only person that's really complained about it is Rob--and he complains about every damn thing on the planet. I'm serious. Right now his big beef is that Thor Ragnarok was just "too slapsticky". This is coming from THE SAME GUY who made me watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. And that's 42 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. Never. Get. Back. I was a little worried that it may protrude too far from my cigarette lighter slot (yes, this truck is old enough to have a cigarette lighter) and catch the shifter on the way down. It doesn't. It's got a low profile and it's perfect for tight spaces! YES! All in all, this is a great product. I recommend it to anyone looking to add hands free audio to their car. I've already bought one for my wife's Smart car for Christmas. I hope she doesn't read this. I've also included pictures of it in the vehicle so you can see just how far it protrudes. Also, here's pictures of the truck, Prius, and Smart car. I just washed both of them so I thought I'd share the pictures. Yeah, I know the paint is peeling on the truck. I'm about to fix that, too. I went ahead and included the mockup of what I'm about to do to the truck too! It's getting it's mojo back! AWWWWWWW YISSSSSSS! Update 9/3/2018 - I included a new picture of my truck and it looks totally sweet! I've decided against the decals simply because the simple black / white motif looks a little like a stormtrooper and I dig it. ... show more

  • Takes Finessing Sometimes
I've had this for about three years, and it still works. It does take some shimmying and shaking to get it to work sometimes. I've been on the same blank radio station for all this time, and it's all good. My old 2006 Corolla is still kicking. It's the only nostalgic electronic fiddling doohickey I have left while everyone else has fancy-schmancy touch screens. If it doesn't work, you gotta plug it in and out, change the angle, and even push soft or hard sometimes. When I get a new car, I'm gonna miss that. ... show more
