Great product, there are not many electronic locking options for handle operated doors on the domestic market. Buyer beware: The interior 'thumb turn' knob is very large and could potentially contact the frame while opening (outswing doors, depending on the door profiles).

We bought a thermatru hurricane rated inswing door. Because inswing is not as secure as outswing we bought the multi point locking system. There are extremely limited choices for smart locks for that locking system. After much research I bought the Nuki ultra lock and keypad 2. It’s extremely well made. After assembling the pieces to make the lock cylinder the right size it was easy to install and calibrate. Software is very well designed. I set up my fingerprint. I set up a code for the builder to use. I get notifications at open and close that include who and how (code, fingerprint, key). Connects to eero 7 wifi network fine. It’s not z-wave compatible so I can’t connect it to my alarm system. However, there is a Alexa skill for the Nuki lock, so I can integrate it into my Alexa routines. I'm remodelling and one of the doors I'm putting in has a Eurpean style door lock. I seemed to upgrade that way, the cladding is Swedish and lighting also from Europe. I like the clean lines and look. I have a Nuki Smart Locl on my front door and was excited to see the European model was now available for the door I'm installing, so ordered it to see if it fit my mechanism. The Nuki website has a fit wizard to make sure that the lock will fit with your door. I recommend using it. The install is easier since you receive all of the components to fit with the Euro-style locks and the installation asks you which style you have. Run through the instructions carefully and you'll soon find the lock is installed. It was a bit more work than the US lock style but not difficult. Once installed, you can connect it to your Smart Home and you have an integrated Smart Lock. I recommend getting the NFC add-on, which is my favorite method to unlock the door. The knob-style design is a surprising upgrade - from the inside your bolt is now a knob. It makes locking and locking the door manually so much easier. You can also push the button in the middle to lock and unlock at will. Integrating with your Smart Home is a warm fuzzy - when you are laying in bed, wondering if you locked the door... I mean did I? All I do is ask my device if the door is locked and request it be locked if it isn't - all from the cozy comfort of the bed. I love it. You can also control it while you're away. There are so many great controls which provide additional security, you need to explore the best options for your life. The Nuki can unlock the door for you baseed on your geo location but I haven't enabled it. When I get home I usually unlock it from the car if I have groceries or use the NFC at the door. It's a great convenience mixed with security. It's been a game-changer in my home and I feel more secure overall. I never was good at locking the door, but now I just ask my Smart device to lock the door as I'm shutting the door to go. And I hear the ker-shlump of the lock turning and leave. The only drawback is the cost, this model is expensvie - almost twice the cost of the US version of the Nuki lock. The Euro Profile version doesn't come with a keypad or NFC add-on. But the European model comes with much more hardware to make it compatible with the door. The hardware is heavy, quality material, and machined exactly for the supported doors, which includes commercial doors. I'm certain this is where the added cost comes from and the price-point seems justified for this. ... show more

This smart lock feels very high quality and works great with the phone app. Setup and installation were easier than I expected, and everything connected without any issues. The app is simple to use and the lock responds quickly. I have been using it regularly and so far it has worked smoothly every time. The overall design also looks modern and clean. If you live in a place with a European style profile door or a multipoint locking system, finding a smart lock that actually works without replacing your entire handle setup is a nightmare. I retrofitted this Nuki Smart Lock Ultra onto my door, and it is a total masterpiece of European engineering. It mounts entirely on the inside over your existing cylinder, meaning the outside of your door stays completely clean and unchanged, so you do not look like a massive target for tech thieves. The performance upgrade on the Ultra model is wild compared to older smart locks. The new motor is blazingly fast, locking or unlocking the door in less than a second, and it operates with a quiet hum instead of that loud, grinding gear noise. It features built in Wi Fi and natively supports Matter over Thread, so it links up instantly with Apple Home, Google Home, or Alexa. The geofencing auto unlock is the best part. When you walk up the steps with your hands full of heavy grocery bags, it detects your phone and automatically retracts the latch before you even touch the handle.
