My family loves this ice maker. The ice is a great texture and the machine produces it quickly. Cleaning is a piece of cake, just running clean water through it and wiping it out. We only use bottled water in it though, since the water in our area would clog it very fast with mineral deposits. Running it is easy. Just add water to the fill line and press a button. The machine can hold 40 oz of water at a time, and it runs through it pretty fast if you use it often. There is no refrigeration of the ice, it just sits out and melts, which is fine because the melted ice just flows back into the reservoir to make more ice. My only complaint is that I wish that the machine held more ice or water, but no countertop ice maker in this price range does. I would guess that it is because making it larger would require refrigeration to be added to where the ice is held, which would also add to how well insulated the entire thing would have to be. This is also the perfect size for sitting on the countertop underneath cabinets. If it were to hold twice as much ice it would probably take up well more than twice the amount of space. I have been using this machine daily for about 9 months have have not had any issues at all with performance or quality.

The media could not be loaded. This machine makes the BEST ice on the planet... NUGGET ice. Its a nice size machine and makes ice relatively fast. My only issue is that it makes some noise. Its not annoyingly loud but there is a humming noise when it is making ice. Besides that I HIGHLY recommend it.

(Read the whole review!) This little nugget icemaker sits on my counter, taking up a place of prestige formerly occupied by the induction burner I bought from Amazon. It happily chugs away, spilling out a tablespoon of ice at a time, for as long as the water in the reservoir holds out. Then it will recycle the melted ice into new little nuggets. I am the only user of ice in my home so this suits my needs perfectly. I’ve not had to use the fridge icemaker since I got this and have even saved extra ice for parties and get-togethers. It looks nice on my counter and is easy to clean, as well. UPDATE: My ice maker suddenly started making squealy noises, then ‘thunked’ three times, and then stopped making ice. It sounds fine but the cold went away. Couldn’t return because the darn thing quit working two weeks after the return window closed! I looked in the manual but there was no help there. I tried all the troubleshooting tips that Amazon had on their troubleshooting page but no help there either. So I clicked the contact seller link and filled out the form and waited for a reply. No reply. So I called Amazon customer service and they said to email the seller and wait 48 hours for a reply. I waited three days. NO REPLY!!! So I just want to give anyone thinking about buying this a head’s up. My ice maker lasted one and a half months and then broke. In my experience, the seller does not answer pleas for help. So, BUYER BEWARE!

Got it as a Christmas gift for someone and thy love it!! Works great makes perfect chewy pebble ice, like Chick-fil-A. Has a deft cleaning button which works great and the basket comes out for you to fill and wash. Ice is constantly full and it makes ice really quick. The only complaint is that it’s a bit noisy when making ice but you get that with any ice machine. The noise is tolerable.

Purchased this item in March 2025, it’s worked great up until recently. The motor on the auger went bad, so I reached out to the manufacturer as the machine is still under warranty. Antarctic Star has been nothing short of amazing! They requested the label on the back, purchase date, and order number, then promptly offered a replacement unit. I’m thankful they were able to rectify this situation because I miss my ice maker. Totally happy with my purchase.

Bought for my wife as a Christmas present. She uses it a lot. It makes ice fairly quickly (I haven't timed it) and recycles the melted ice to freeze it again. Mostly all of the water is used, so there us very little left when draining and cleaning the machine. Just a note here. Drain and clean after each use to avoid mold growth. Lots of negative reviews about this, but it isn't meant to leave running all the time like the higher cost machines. It's a bit loud, but not obnoxiously so. We make a couple of batches at a time and keep the ice in large freezer bags for later use.

Machine stop working after 6 months and I got in contact with the manufacturer Zafro. They asked for proof of purchase and a video of the machine on. Sent video of the machine squealing like a cat and proof of purchase. They sent an email stating that it was the motor and they could only refund 40% of what I paid before taxes . I agreed with the refund. Then they asked for my Zelle or PayPal so they could send the refund I gave them my PayPal they confirmed that it was my PayPal via email. I waited 2 weeks no refund so I reached back out and they informed me they had sent the refund a business day after our interaction. Then they proceeded to show me proof that they sent the refund. I informed them that it was not my PayPal they sent the refund to, the person had the same first name but different last name mine being Lowe and their last name Garcia. They stop responding to me. So I did not receive a refund even though they made the mistake so I will never deal with any of their products again. I usually don’t leave reviews but I just wanted to give a warning because that machine was almost $200 and now I have to look and purchase another machine because I waisted my money.
