This is usually caused by mineral buildup. Please run a cleaning cycle with clean water and 30–60g of citric acid to remove scale and restore normal operation. The stronger water flow helps remove scale more effectively and keeps the system cleaner. How does one troubleshoot when the ice maker is leaking? My main joy with this machine is scooping chewable ice into my hand and tossing it into my mouth. The machine lives on a table near my TV chair in my basement man cave and feeds my habit. It's a little noisy when it runs, but I don't mind-I easily tune that out. A few caveats to consider: Yes the first nuggets star coming out within 10 minutes, but it takes more like 2 hours to fill the container. And the ice is not as cold as ice from my refrigerator's freezer (if it were, it would not be "chewable"). So, personally I don't use the pellets right out of the machine for drinks. Someone else might, especially for cocktails, I don't know. However, I do throw a batch into my fridge's ice container every few days to chill the pellets to conventional coldness and hardness. They are a little wet when I throw them in, so they adhere to each other when frozen hard, but that's easy to break up by hitting them with a metal scoop, after which they stay loose in the freezer. My wife, who initially thought this purchase was silly, now much prefers these little pellets because their greater surface area chills beverage drinks much faster than regular cubes. I sidelined my regular ice trays, and gained some freezer space. So, five stars. UPDATE: The noise I mentioned above was due a defect in the machine. But notice that I gave the defective machine five stars anyway! After about six months, when I ran a deep cleaning cycle, the machine stopped making ice. I contacted VIBOFROST, wondering if we were going to have to ship the machine back and forth. But Mia at VIBOFROST respond with a request that I try a few simple things to see if I could get the machine working, with the promise that she would send me a new one if I had no success. Well, I reported back to Mia that it still would not make ice, and a new one was on my doorstep in less than a week! When I set it up, I was shocked (but pleased) at how quiet it is. I keep on a stand at ear level about three feet from my head in my basement man cave, where I watch TV compute, and play video games. It's quiet enough to live there, where I can easily scoop some ice whenever I want. I also think that the replacement machine is a little faster than I had reported above. Thank you, Mia !!

Now, my story. I received this unit, opened the box and let it set while I went to work. The directions say to let it set upright for a couple of hour (I saw one that said it should be sitting upright for 10 hours). No poblem. When I came back, I unpacked and set it up in the same spot as my old ice maker. The cord seemed to be shorter, and so I plugged it in and stretched the cord. The cord was just long enough. However, by plugging in the machine, the unit went through a check and prepared to make ice. I had not put water into it. No problem. I wiped it out and filled it with filtered water and pushed the power button....and nothing happened. I unplugged it and replugged it in, and the lights came on, but no "making ice" light. It would not even reset. So, I went searching everywhere on information on how to do a factory reset. I sent an email to the manufacturer, and sent a message on their web site. No response. How difficult can it be? Has to be some trick to it. So, I pushed the clean and the power button at the same time. Well, it cleaned. That takes a couple of hours. When that was done, I pushed the power button again, but no luck. By the way, the power button has no real tactile response, and so I do now know if I was really pushing the button properly. I tried holding in the power button, hit the power button multiple times thinking that there was a code. After I came back from work, I was wondering if I had put out over $200 for a dud, but I did not give up. I unplugged the unit and pushed the power button and plugged it in at the same time. The panel flashed twice. I got a result, but when I pushed the power button, it still did not light up "making ice." I tried it again with the same result. After a third time, the panel did not light up. I pushed the power button, and SUCCESS!!! The "making ice" light came on and it started working. Only one time has it stopped working. It whined and pumped out water. The compressor was not turning on. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, crossed my fingers, and the compressor kicked on and it continued making ice. Once the ice maker started working, it works really well. This unit makes a lot of ice in a short amount of time, and it keeps making ice until it is filled to the top. It makes more ice than what we need. Love the small pellets. I filled a freezer bag in one day, and that was after filling mugs. So, it is a great unit. We will see if it last long.

I really like this nugget ice maker. It makes more ice than I can use. When the basket gets full , I let the few drips of water drip out the bottom, then I dump it in my freezer. It makes good chewable ice. I fill it with the filtered water from my refrigerator dispenser. I have to say that drinks and water taste better with this nugget ice because you get a few cubes of ice that you can chew with each sip. I don’t have it running all the time because it makes more ice than I can use. I turn it on when I get up to feed the cat at 7:30 am. When I get back up at 9:30 am it’s full. Then I dump/add it to the ice that already in my freezer from the day before. My favorite feature is that it self cleans ( I haven’t used that yet), and that the water from any melted ice goes back through to make more ice. I don’t think it’s noisy, it just sounds like a fan running. In my case I don’t run it in the day when I’m watching tv. I’ve had this 3 days now and I have no complaints.

I bought this machine so I could make my wife a slushie daily. In fact it makes about 6-18 Oz Solo cups of slushie. I have used this machine daily since I bought it. The only thing I dislike is that it has to have it a certain amount of sugar to make which I understand but I wish it could be done with sugar free drinks. Cleaning it afterwards is a breeze. Sometimes I will put water in it and it will run it through and get everything cleaned out and then all I have to do is rinse it out or sometimes I just rinse it out without running to clean function. I have only used it to make slushies so I don't know about any of the other things that it will make. As for making slushies I would definitely recommend it. It probably takes 45 minutes to make slushies but that beats having to run around town to get two or three large slushies.

Purchased this machine 6 months ago. Unfortunately it started making ice slowly, making weird noises,and stopping. I thought Iwas out of luck on the warranty, but I contacted customer support and spoke with Mia. I was informed to take a 1 minute video of what it is was doing and sent it to her. The following day I had a reply that it will be replaced. I responded with Amazon order # and my address. Following day, Mia sent me a tracking number and received it in two days. I was surprised that the replaced unit had several features the old one didn't. Outstanding customer support and service.

I was very hesitant at first to buy after reading the reviews but can say without a doubt this company has the best customer service I have ever dealt with.My unit after about 4 days past the send it back window stopped working. I had 0 problems and reached out to vibofrost thinking it was going to be the endless send pictures and no reply I was completely wrong I actually talked to a real person and explained the problem and with no pushback or anything they shipped me a new one and have even contacted since making sure there were no problems with setup or operating.Unit works great couldnt be happier you will love the chewy ice too
