While I run and generally stay pretty healthy, my body temp was constantly about 1.5 degrees low. Did blood tests that found nothing and doc wasn't concerned, said it might be a vitamin deficiency. I tried another brand of vitamin first that was great, but it was over $1 per day to take. Since I take the liver supplement, I decided to try this one. So far, so good! I have more energy, my skin color actually looks better, and my body temp is back to normal. I take one with breakfast and one with dinner (it's two pills per day). There are a few things to consider when purchasing. First, make sure you take with food like it says. If you don't, you will burp the flavor of the vitamin, over and over. Not good! Next, be ready for your urine to turn neon yellow and smell like the vitamin. Finally, the pill is HUGE! It's not hard for me to take, but I can imagine for certain people, it will be too much. Outside of that, this is a great vitamin and is a great value.

I buy a lot of supplements from this company and the only thing that annoys me about this vitamin (first purchase of it) is all of them are coated in this orange goop, like a dye. I'm assuming somewhere in manufacturing some of the pills ruptured, and every pill now is just absolutely coated in this mess. It stains. I have to wipe off each individual one and then use it as I'm worried about it going bad or something. As far as the actual vitamin, the ingredients seem okay, at least on par with others, and even have a lot of things that others don't albeit maybe in small doses. Just wish this arrived cleaner.

I've been using these men's multi-vitamins for a couple of years. I started using the gel capsules over the one-a-day tablets because it's was mostly always in stock. However, my experiences with the last two shipments have led me to reconsider. Both arrived with a thick, yellow, oily residue inside the bottles, emitting an unpleasant odor, and lacked a cotton ball to mitigate the issue. The first shipment was particularly alarming with a substantial amount of this residue (pictured). Although the second shipment was slightly less problematic, each capsule was still absolutely saturated in this greasy film. I took out all the capsules to wipe off the excess grease, only to find a pool of oil at the bottle's bottom of the bottle. Due to these recurring quality concerns, I'm no longer taking these vitamins and I'm switching to another brand with better quality control.

Edit: Quality control is an issue with these vitamins. After having this leaking pill problem happen again, I just can't buy these anymore. You have to scrub every vitamin you take from the bottle when this happens, because you don't know if its one pill that is leaking or several like I had in my last bottle. The yellow-brown ooze that comes off the pill tastes awful and stains everything it touches. I've never had this issue with another gel cap style pill. Original review: I really like these vitamins, but I am about to lose patience with the manufacturer. This is the 3rd time I have purchased these vitamins. I like them because they don't make me feel queasy like some other multi's do. But somehow, they keep leaking inside the bottle and they stain everything a nasty yellow color, like iodine. They stain and leak onto my other vitamins and my fingers when I handle them. Please fix this and you will be the best vitamin i have ever bought. I should not have to individually clean my vitamins.

It's hard to objectively judge the effects of a vitamin on one's sense of health and well-being, as there are just too many factors that can influence your results -- so I am not going to even waste your time with that. What I will do is judge this product in regards to its reputation and its stated contents. As a multivitamin, independent testing (labdoor.com) rates this product among the best. Labdoor has this vitamin at #6 overall, #2 among men's multivitamins. They provide a detailed explanation of their standards and why they rate the way they do, and that's good enough for me. Cost-wise -- again, comparing to others on the list, I think NOW Foods has priced this product very competitively. The one men's multi that scored higher (barely) cost about the same as this one. I found that having more size options to be compelling, as well as my prior good experiences with NOW products. Content-wise, there are a few things I look for to judge the quality and efficacy of a multi -- 1. What type of B-12 does it contain, the cheaper cyanocobalomin or the more bioavailable methylcobalamin? This one has the latter - check! 2. What type of E does it contain, the cheaper synthetic DL- Alpha Tocopherol or the natural (and better) D-Alpha Tocopherol? Again, the better one - check! The mineral content can be referenced similarly. The capsules are easy to swallow and digest, without and perceivable stomach issues. I have ordered this product twice, and barring finding something even better in terms of "bang for your buck," will probably continue to do so.

When I found that all three of my bottles of Adam Softgel Multivitamins were leaking heavily, I called NOW for the first time since taking their supplements for years. I was told that they would send instructions on how to clean the gels with paper towels, which declined because I was already doing this. They still continue to leak and need cleaning multiple times per bottle. It’s a mess. The fact that they didn’t offer replacement makes me want to reconsider buying these and other NOW products. Just a heads up.
