Smooth with very little to no flavor. I've been using this protein powder for years and now Amazon finally has it... yaeh :) I absolutely hate the protein powders that leave a gritty texture to my morning smoothie. Previously I used a soy powder that wasn't gritty but didn't like using soy since I try to avoid it when reasonable. I generally stock around 20 of these because a couple of times it was hard to find in stock to order (that was before I found it on Amazon so time will tell if that continues). Over all we have consumed over 300 of these (estimating low). We had a few that did have a bit of a bad egg smell but the product it self was fine. I believe it had to do with the humidity level but I'm not sure. Also we have never had it smell after blending. At any rate we haven't had any like that for over a year. Of course it's possible that we have just been lucky with recent orders. I don't think it is a batching issue because that few that did smell were mixed in with some that didn't from the same batch. We use a lot because we use a bit more than a severing and in our house we make at least two a day 360+ days a year (it's rare my daughter and I don't have one for breakfast). What do I mix in my 32 oz smoothie? This is a general guide that I use and sometimes change it up. 4 oz apple sider 8 oz homemade goat yogurt scoop of eggwhite protein 1 stock celery 1/4 tsp greens powder (depending on type of greens) 1 banana bit of honey bit of olive oil top off the 32 oz with whatever frozen berries I feel like that day So I have to add that even my wife who is insanely picky about texture has used it and likes it. It is creamy and tasteless and there’s no lactose. Great, right? I had thought so, but…then, a great quake shook beneath me and out came the most horrendous cloud of gas so potent, that even I had to remove my own self from said room. I write this to warn you. I know that the moderators of Amazon will most likely delete this. But, in good conscience and faith, I feel I must prepare you. It is now solely my duty. What comes from underneath the cracks of your buttocks can be so potent it’ll soak into the very fabric of your pants. It doesn’t just air out as you walk about. Oh no, it lingers. Even your couch will fall prey to the odiously warm air that’s trapped itself in the fibers. It lingers in the air for hours. If anyone is around you, the only thing you can do is look at them in the eyes and just submit. Your gas is so horrific, it could be used to interrogate prisoners…and successfully. I wouldn’t even use a gas stove if you’re feeling just the slightest bit rumbly. One spark…is it even worth the chance? If you have a romantic partner, I hope your relationship is strong-willed and determined. There’s no hiding this under the blanket and hoping it dissipates. No, this will act like thick smoke that crawls out of each fiber and hole and crevice of your blankets and set alight the hairs in your nostrils. I know you’re thinking that you can just “walk away”, but you can’t. Listen to me: YOU CAN NOT JUST WALK AWAY. It clings on to you like a needy screaming toddler who couldn’t get that toy. This is a real commitment. A true act of both love and need of egg white protein. It’s up to you now. I’ve given you all the wisdom I can share with you. Go gently into the good night and God speed, future review reader.
