I found CLA extreme linked from the Opti Men supplements. I have been taking one to two CLA extremes every day. I am only "semi-committed" to my diet and exercise but I have finally dropped below my "plateau weight". I am 35 y/o male working out two to three times a week, very active day to day and a somewhat sensible diet. I'd been stuck at around 230lbs for six months or so and haven't changed anything apart from adding CLA extreme to my supplements. I also take green tea and coconut oil. I'm now down to 220lb after about two months. I didn't see much difference during the first month, but since then I have noticed my stomach is leaner and my clothes hang better. My appetite is reduced and as such I feel less inclined to snack. I'll continue to take the CLA and having seen results I will increase my intake to two to three pills a day. ... show more

I'll make this short: NOW is a very good reputable brand, hence my decision to purchase this product. I am giving this product two stars NOT for quality (which is typical NOW). I am giving it two stars because of the ingredient formulation. The inclusion of caffeine in a CLA product is questionable. Caffeine induces catabolism, while CLA tends to promote anabolism. Green tea extract is a fine addition. But the caffeine did frustrate me, because it's not enough to wake you up, but IS enough to make you kind of tired. I ended up feeling exhausted every time I took these...which was odd, but nevertheless not good for working out. You may have a different experience. But, in general, I find it's better to have different products for "stimulant" and "non stimulant" supplements. Many people prefer the ability to control how much of a given stimulant they take. Especially in the fitness community. The rationale: some people feel that it gives them extra energy (which it should for most people in doses above ~75-100 ish mg...I am NOT a doctor please don't sue me), but others prefer to abstain for stimulant use. Studies are mixed. Caffeine increases metabolism and may reduce carbohydrate energy usage during beginning periods of exercise, thus allowing you to exercise longer. But, it is also catabolic. In other words, it is not muscle sparing. Use too much and exercise too hard and you'll be burning muscle. If you want muscle, you want anabolism (generally). Cutting to the chase: This product made me lethargic enough to be unable to exercise, and I have a LOT of energy normally so this has never been a problem before. The issues went away when I stopped taking it. If you want a reputable supplement maker's product, NOW is a good choice. If you'd prefer to separate products to make your own ratios/blends, you may want to consider another brand, for CLA at least. ... show more

I have shopped this exact product in a few health food stores where I live and they are double the price retail. I was super excited to see the same product with double the amount at a low cost. I don't buy much online so I am always a bit skeptical but it was promised on April 4th and was delivered March 31st! It came early and fast.
