Description

Soluble fiber from foods such as psyllium seed husks, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. A serving of Psyllium Husk Powder supplies 6 grams of the 7 grams soluble fiber necessary per day to have this effect. Vigorously mix 1 level tablespoon daily into at least 12 oz. of water or juice and consume immediately. Be sure to drink plenty of additional fluids throughout the day. Start with smaller amounts and gradually increase over several weeks.

It works so well! I don’t like drinking it, so I add it to whatever I’m making, like fiber pancakes, oatmeal, or as a thickener. It doesn’t dissolve fast enough for me, and it tastes like dirt, but it gets the job done!

Don't get me wrong.... this stuff is awesome. I mean... i don't love the flavor or anything but it helps curb appetite and expel the waist. I got the powder by accident. I was used to the whole husks. I tried using the same amount and it instantly turned my water into sand. It absorbed so quick. I mix with AG1 powder and have it every AM.... but the powder made it like drinking oatmeal... i chewed more than I drank. I realized with the powder.... you use much less than what I was doing with the whole husks. It would be extremely difficult for me to choke this stuff down every AM without AG1 vitamin.... the taste is a bit off putting and I think my body would soon reject it. HOWEVER.... adding AG1 to it gives enough flavor to make it palatable. Im not trying to endorse ag1... it's just relevant to the review because the taste is like cardboard without anything else in it. In summary...it's great for what it does. Excellent fiber, really works great; I mix just one heaped spoon with 4% lactaid milk -no bad taste ; easy to swallow . Only issue is that you hav eto go >twice in the AM which could be a problem for those who have to leave home early. I will keep using it.

Update 6/24/25 it thickens entirely too much and too fast! Not sure how effective it has been. Still constipated after a few days of use... Removed some stars... Will follow up again . Original review after one use::Definitely effective and gentle. I was constipated for 5 days. Laxatives stopped working and miralax did not work. Few google searches lead me to this product and boy was a happy after using recommended does 1tbs. I tried to start slow as instructed but that did not work fast enough for me. The product does thicken pretty quickly so chew-swallow-drink fast! I mixed with a little coffee as I could tolerate the thickness of the solution. Before I could finish, it thickened to much to drink. Pro tip take bit gollps and drink something in between or mix 2 half tablespoons separately. ... show more
