I bought this bed for my partner and I. Together, we may weigh about 450. Puting it together was frustrating even for the two of us who have both worked in mechanics shops. No matter what we did, bolts kept stripping. We wrongfully figured that perhaps it was a built in feature to keep people from over tightening. Upon climbing in, I felt a bar bend under me. I hopped back out and saw that it was one of the main support bars. Frustrated, I forced myself to forget about it, turned to the foot of the bed, and went to sleep. I awoke in the morning immensely uncomfortable, my fiancee and I had crashed into the middle and my hips were fallen unnaturally low. I contacted customer service and found that they replace parts, cool! So I flipped up the matress and found not one, but FOUR major support bars bent, some at nearly touching the floor. Everything else had bent and collapsed around the support. One night and the bed was completely mangled. Contacted customer support again, they told me a couple of times they could replace parts but couldn't do anything else. Perhaps if a single part was the problem that would have been acceptable, but as it stands they just made a frustrating situation worse by not being willing to talk (seriously, when I called they asked for my email address then ended the call, the rest was handled through email) Honestly, I have never been so immensely disappointed by a product. The pictures don't do the damage justice, the two vertacle bars us the middle we're bent at least 3-4 inches out of place, the head and foot connecting horizontal ones were also drastically bent, the all the support slats curved like a giant rib cage. ... show more

    • Gorgeous bedframe, a couple of notes about assembly

I wanted to give four stars for the assembly but couldn't because this bedframe is so beautiful. It's exactly what I wanted! The color is a nice deep gold (look at the sunny part of my picture), will match anything, and the frame is surprisingly sturdy. The headboard and footboard are very pretty. Nicely packaged and looks more daunting than it is, but get a friend for the assembly; it's surprisingly straightforward but not easy to do alone since it's a big frame. A couple things were annoying about the assembly so just a heads up: first, all of the screws are bright chrome, which stands out against the gold bedframe. Second, the longer canopy bars were impossible to connect with the screws given; I actually broke a screwdriver trying to muscle it. I got size 4 screws at Ace and voila (the ones provided were size 6). Finally, it took me longer to get the darn stickers off of each piece of the bedframe than it did to put the thing together! They were practically fused on there. I must have used half a bottle of goo-gone on one of the big ones. Anyway, these are nitpicky and overall I am so happy with my shiny new bedframe, can't wait to get drapes for it :) ... show more

Love it! Took about 2 hours to put together by myself everything needed was right in the box. I might replace the screws that connect the center beam to the head and foot board, but other than that, I couldn't be happier!

I loveeeeeee my bed. It was rather difficult to put together and took quite a bit of time but ultimately so worth it for the price. I did want to pull my hair out trying to put it together. And surprisingly very sturdy I pushed on it to see how shaky it would be and it didn’t event budge. It also doesn’t make any noises when getting in/out of it or if I move it. So far no paint has chipped off the poles and I really don’t expect it to. I 10/10 recommend. ... show more

Bed is not sturdy, more for child or teen. Center broke in three weeks, had to replace with center support rails from another dealer. Definitely not for heavy people. Overall it is a good apt sized canopy as it's just about 6 feet-6'2" tall. With the price, I guess you get what you pay for so I'm guessing it won't last long. Needs improvement with the frame as a whole. After adding additional support I'm OK with the bed as it is cute, just wish it was taller and better built! ... show more

I love this bed!!! It came well packaged. No damage to box or bed frame. All parts LABELED! Easy to read instructions. All screw holes drilled and aligned. Seems to be pretty sturdy but we shall see on that point. At this moment, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

    • It’s a trap.

It’s a really cute bed frame. I really wanted to love it. It felt totally unsteady and I spent every day since Wednesday loudly talking about how great it was, even though I had to get in and out of it like I was laying down on egg shells. It just felt like it was going to collapse. I bought it specifically because I wanted to hang plants on the bars. I kinda read reviews but not too deeply. Figured it would be fine because everything is fine. Ya know? It took me about an hour to assemble, with help. Unfortunately, I also know that it takes about 20 minutes, with help, to take down. Bro, I shifted my weight, and this entire bed collapsed. The support bar in the middle is trash. I mean, I had questions when I put it together. It was garbage before, but now it’s really garbage. The whole middle support bar shifted to the side and is completely mangled. I was looking at it wondering how this was supposed to hold anyone bigger than a child but I REALLY WANTED THIS BED FRAME, OK. Bottom line is, this bed is super cute and if I could sleep on “it’s cute” it would be the best. As it stands, I have to sleep on a mattress on the floor, and box this back up and return it. If you are a small adult, you will probably be just fine and I will tell you, I am jealous of you because, ya know, it’s so cute! This bed is available on multiple big name websites for hundreds more under various style names. Don't be fooled. It was simple to put together, very sturdy once a mattress was placed on it, and looks clean and modern. Highly recommend.
