After looking in furniture and department stores, we purchased this day bed for my daughter who moved into an apartment she shared with roommates. She wanted to have a bed that could also function as a couch when she watched TV in her room. This bed comes in two options, one with drawers or one with a trundle. We purchased the trundle. The bed is in a 10 foot box and quite heavy. We took the pieces out of the box and brought them to the room. It was easy to assemble and took about 1.5 hours. Good quality for the money. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Extra hardware was provided. The couch arrived in perfect condition. The grey material is beautiful and linen-like, comfortable to the touch. The tufting adds some elegance to the room. The trundle rolls out easily; however, she ended up putting plastic bins and uses it as storage. If a mattress is placed inside, it can only take a 6" mattress. Anything more will not fit. It would be nicer if they allowed for more modern sized mattresses. The other con to this couch is that a 6" mattress would fit the daybed best. Since most spring mattresses are at least 8", the top of our mattress is almost at the same level as the arms of the couch. This is one of the best daybeds that I have found -- sturdy, easy to assemble, beautiful material and styling, and a great price! ... show more

I bought this bed as a last resort as I needed something last minute after the pullout couch I bought wouldn't fit through the doorway. My option were limited with the time I had left before guests arrived. I wasn't sure I liked the color or look of it from the pictures but after getting it set up I am pleased. I have put together ALOT of furniture in my life, this by far was the easiest. The directions for this are a dream to follow, never I have had such excellent instructions. The pieces matched up nicely, so there was no wrangling to make things line up or fit. Now that it is together it is a very solid sturdy piece of furniture. I was originally shopping for a Murphy bed for the spare bedroom and came across this sofa/trundle! I was a little skeptical with some of the reviews but could not pass on the price! I have had the sofa for about 2 weeks with one weekend guest stay and it is an awesome product! My guests were thrilled to each have their own bed to sleep on!! A very nice feature is that the trundle rolls very easily but is able to move separate from the sofa portion so we were able to move it to the opposite side of the room! The quality is very very nice! I purchased two separate mattresses from Amazon- for the top of the sofa an 8 inch memory foam and for the trundle a 6 inch (although I think a thicker mattress would’ve been fine). It slept really well and my guests were extremely happy! I also had Amazon assemble this piece. The workers who came out to put the sofa/trundle together in about an hour, they were clean, polite and extremely easy to work with! I was there to let them in and they did/brought the rest! Will definitely pay for assembly in the future as it was completely hassle free! Overall very happy with this purchase!! ... show more

This gray fabric daybed with trundle is really pretty. It went together well - all the holes lined up so the bolts and screws went in easily. The instructions were clear (which is a minor miracle for these things) and all parts and spare parts were in the package. It looks like good quality. The only drawback was when the box was delivered, there was a gash in the side of the cardboard box, and the lining was torn, but it is in a spot that will be covered by the mattress, though we did use some extra strength black tape to bring the edges together. Really enhances the kids' playroom. We haven't gotten the mattresses on yet - just put it together today - but it seems sturdy and I hope will hold up well. I expect it to, so I do so far highly recommend this product. ... show more

We purchased this for my 9 year old daughter’s bedroom specifically because it said the trundle worked with a standard size twin mattress. We had recently moved and had four standard twin mattresses to choose from to work with this bed. Unfortunately none of them work as in they are too tall and don’t allow the trundle to slide out from under the bed. I reached out to the company and asked if they had taller legs or a suggestion and their response was that they suggest a six inch mattress. I’m disappointed because I wouldn’t have chosen this bed had I known a standard size wouldn’t work. Additionally the standard size mattress we used for the top sits too high covering most of the back of the daybed. Our mattresses are just standard from I think Costco. Overall this purchase was it what we had hoped for and I wish we could return it. ... show more
