Description

Remember when your miter saw could do it all? Create cuts at any angle with the WEN 12 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw. Our powerful 15-amp motor slices through even the hardest of woods, providing 5000 blade rotations per minute. This versatile saw bevels and miters up to 45° in either direction with a front bevel control for fast and easy adjustment. Cut boards up to 13.25 inches wide and 4.5 inches thick or make compound cuts (45° bevel and 45° miter) in boards up to 9.25 inches wide and 3.125 inches thick. The saw features 9 miter stops: two at 15 degrees, two at 22.5 degrees, two at 30 degrees, two at 45 degrees and one at 0. However, if a more unique angle is preferred, the miter lock still allows the saw to lock at any angle between those stops. The onboard LED cutline guide casts a shadow against the blade to illuminate your line of cut for maximum accuracy while the dust collection port allows for connection to either the included dust bag or your dust collection device of choice. This spacious saw also features a 6-1/2-inch crown molding nested capacity and a 6-1/2-inch base board vertical capacity. This package includes an 80-tooth carbide-tipped blade with a 1-inch arbor (model BL1280), two quick-lock table extension support arms, two adjustable support fences, one quick-clamp assembly, a dust port, a dust bag, and a carrying handle. And, because it’s a WEN product, your miter saw comes backed by a two-year warranty, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and a friendly customer help line, all to make sure you remember WEN.

  • NOT JUST WORTH THE MONEY! ITS A GREAT SAW!
I bout the purchased the Double Bevel 12” Sliding Miter Saw to add to several WEN woodworking tools including jointers, planers and dust collectors. The saw is very accurate very solid, and the compact rail design should be on every Miter Saw. I’m yet to find a Miter saw with good dust collection but the WEN is on par with the dewalt miter saw. The other WEN tools dust collection works great! I process my own lumber from Standing Timber to finished product so these tools are getting used probably beyond the intended use and they have held up and performed great! Also the light perfectly lines up cuts with the kerf of the blade via the shadow, but helps with lighting as intended. Also big plus is the light so hard wired so no battery, and I’ll be honest after they die I never replace them but on an independent circuit wired through a switch that I shut off when I leave the shop this is very very convenient! I built a miter table and fence around mine so I can’t speak much on the table and fence on the saw but with a few cuts I seen no difference it in and other brands. I’m just a small business owner fighting overhead and expenses and if they have a tool that fits the needs I have such as Power and Size WEN has became the first choice. If you handy enough to need the tool a few simple additions like outfeed and infeed tables or extended fence the tools I have purchased punch way above their weight class and the price point is just wonderful. Haven’t had to deal with customer yet other than curious questions but fast response and patient with my nonsense questions lol. Great products ... show more

  • Pretty decent saw for the money.
Ive been using this to build my deck 26'x12'. Its all 2x10 construction with 6x6 post. Theres nothing that this saw hasnt been able to cut. It has more than enough power and compared to dewalts sliding saw ive used before, theres no power difference from what i can tell. The shadow line is effective but i find accurate cutting is still best by lowering the blade to the wood first but itll definitely get you within a 1/16th. I like how the slide is on the front side compared to the rear like other brands. This really keeps it compact and you can tuck it closer to a wall. However i bought the matching stand and its pretty HD for the price. Legs levers, has built in hangers for lumber, has a cheapo power strip built in. Overall a good buy. This brand has been around for awhile and i know some would be hesitant but seriously you shouldn't be and this is coming from a fan of the red army tools. It has replaceable parts if needed but i dont know why you would need it. The board lock down attachment is pretty handy. Quick lever lock is so much better than my older Hitachi that uses a threaded screw. I have 2 minor issues with the saw but id rather share them than hide them. The rear upper fence was slightly out of square but it was super easy to correct with a piece of card stock placed in the groove and then place the upper fence into it. This is just the top part of the fence and not the lower half where most of your cuts touch. The other minor thing is the orange handles for locking extension arms. They feel kind of cheap but if you take care of them they should be fine. Id give the saw 4.5 stars. $400 bucks for a nice stand and this saw is an unbeatable deal imo. ... show more

  • Initial, Out of the Box Review: Read the Instructions 1st! (Follow Up Review to shortly follow)
Initial, Out of the Box Review: Opened the box, took out the saw & read the manual, inspected the equipment, & reading about each important step in setting up the saw 1st before operating it. Also, now we know who doesn't read the product operations & safety manual! For all the reviewers that said their arbor bolts were tightened by Superman & couldn't be removed: "To loosen its blade arbor bolt assembly, simply turn the bolt ** Clockwise **." If you attempt to loosen it in the 'normal' counter-clockwise direction ("lefty-loosey"), you will break it. Dah! [Please, 1st read the manual before attempting to operate your saw in any manner.] Miter saws use a left-hand thread, the opposite of "righty-tighty." So, if you gave WEN a bad review because the instructions were not followed, go back now & edit your review, add many more stars & rewrite your comments for positive effect. It wasn't the maker's fault, after all. The saw has come in great condition. Tested the motor. It is half as loud as my Harbor Freight saw this WEN is replacing. So far, everything works. Yet, that is, without making my first cut. My Follow Up Review concerning the saw's alignment functions & its actual first cuts will follow shortly, at a later date. Thanks for complying. *************************************************************************************** September 27, 23: Follow-Up Review: Disappointed. I just spent several hours performing all of the initial saw alignments & installing the included saw blade. I gave it my best, slowest & careful attention. But, I could not get the saw to cut straight on the long cuts. When the saw was at its shortest length on the slides, it was acceptable. But, pull it out & immediately I got deflection bends in my cuts over 8" or more. And, the right fence was slightly off from the left when squaring up 90 degrees from the blade. I assume the manufacture of the cast metal is at fault. And, while all the saw's adjustments performed flawlessly & were very easy to make, the repeat cuts did not line up, weren't always square to the fence, and the bevel (the main reason I bought the saw) was not repeatably accurate over 6 or 8 inches. I tried not pushing down so hard on the handle, but the return spring is hefty & solid and a larger amount of force was necessary to move the saw down through its cuts, often giving me small, but unacceptable deflection errors. However, this would be a great saw for general building trades! The saw dust port worked far better than all other miter saws I've used. The motor was relatively more quite and the blade came to a stop a lot faster than most. But, for my needs, building fine musical folk harps, I need repeatable accuracy over all to the saw's slide functions, bevel & miter angles, etc. Add even a very slight convex curve in the middle of a 12" board (as it did), or one slightly crooked & unsquared, that spells disaster for my harps. But, again, for general building trades, I highly recommend this saw. Just not for fine furniture making or for critical cuts for building musical instruments. ... show more

  • Quality and accuracy are wonderful
I had looked at buying a Dewalt compound sliding saw but after reading the reviews and talking to others I changed my mind. I am very pleased I did. This was hundreds of dollars less expensive and has performed this far beautifully. Straight out of the box it was perfectly aligned. Adjustments are easy and setup for each job could not be easier. Safety features are well thought out. Very pleased with this saw. I also picked up a folding saw table for this so it is easy to move around and then to fold up and store. Absolutely no regrets or concerns. ... show more
