While there were a lot of steps to the assembly (11 I think), the assembly instructions were clear, concise and we had no issues. The bed seems solid. My only complaint, and I use the term loosely, is that the bottom is only about 3" from the ground so I don't think our Rumba will be able to get under there. Purchasing a bed that was green had became a problem because all shades of green were selling out fast, because this was my second choice I was skeptical of how dark it was. Certainly not now! I love my bed. It's very sturdy, and far worth more than what I'd purchased it for. I'd put it together myself, if you like feeling good about the outcome of dyi projects you'll be glad you did. The secret of making it easy to put together is to put a lifts or cans something at least 3 to 5 inches from the floor (I used risers) under the footboards to make tightening the screws easier and to keep the rails intact. Love the way it looks. Give that mid century vibe I wanted! Color is great and true to what I expected. A nice moss green. The quality is ok. The box arrived quickly and without instructions and missing a few pieces (which were just protectors for the floor). The flow to put this together is odd. You need two people as putting the legs on does not come in a order you would think, it is when you are almost done. Lots of creaking the first night that I thought we were going to have the bed fall through to the floor. It has been about a month. It still creaks on just not as much. It is lower to the floor than I thought it would be. You can see it sits lower than the side tables. We have short mattress though (Stumptown). Hoping to get the vintage brass birds up above the bed today to finish the look on the wall. ... show more

Good for what I spent. Take your time assembling and you shouldn’t run into issues. We had one hole not match up with the side slat at all but we adjusted and made it work. Machine made so slightly flawed and assembly is as everything is made these days with metal and hex key. Gentle delivery is always up to chance and there was one medium puncture to the packaging but it left no damage due to the way it was packaged. The aesthetic is great and the size is what I wanted. It comes in two boxes which arrived separately for me, which is obviously isn't the manufacture, but as a heads up to make sure you have it all before you remove your old bed. I got to sleep on the floor for 4 days, oops. This bed is easy to put together. I did it by myself in about an hour and half. I had the "help" of a 3 year old and cat that slowed me down a bit. Both my fiance and I are bigger and there is no squeaking or wobbles. I love this bed. I agonized over this purchase because of the negative reviews but I couldn't stop thinking about it. This negative review came sooner than I thought. Within 2 months of owning this bed, one of the slats broke and another is already giving in a bit. No, I didn’t assemble it wrong. The slats are in the correct orientation bending upwards. My husband is 150lbs. No one is jumping on the bed. Even an IKEA bed which is cheaper would last longer than 2 months and they have a better return policy! I liked the style of the bed and wasn’t expecting much considering the price. But overall, it is a cheap bed. The length of the bed isn’t even a full length beam. It’s sections which u bolt together with metal parts. As a result of the construction, they added a lot of metal legs to make it structurally stable. But worst of all are the slats that support the mattress are so thin and cheap, u can brake them with a karate chop! Now I am stuck this past my return window. I’m gonna call manufacturer and maybe I’ll post an update. If you’re buying a bed for display purposes, go for it. It’s cheap and looks just like the versions that cost much more. Otherwise be prepared to spend more $$$ to make it last! ... show more

I feel confident in giving this bed 5 stars after six months of continued use. It’s a sturdy, nice looking bed. The fabric is lovely shade of blue and it isn’t cheap. I will add that we were sent the wrong color (the green) and had to go through the return process which would’ve been easier if I hadn’t missed my UPS pick up but I’m not deducting stars bc the bed itself really is a great value. I spent days looking for a gray linen bed and had the hardest time finding one that I loved and was affordable. I actually found this bed on Wayfair first, and then on here (Same price but ships faster). I immediately fell in love with the look and style of this bed, but got nervous reading some of the polarizing comments down here. I am happy to say I just spent my first night sleeping in my new bed and I couldn’t be more happy! This bed is beautiful, sturdy, and well made.
