This bandsaw is perfect for beginners and light hobbyist alike! I purchased this 10" floor model as my first bandsaw, thinking only (at the time) it's use would be cutting tight curves and refining shapes. Boy was I wrong! I've been woodworking for a year now, and this lil saw is a beast!! My small shop is setup to run 6" wide stock anyway, with a 6" jointer and a 13" planer. So, this guy seemed to for right in. I can resaw 6" hardwood, and I mean HARD wood! White Oak ,Walnut, Wenge.... No problem resawing 6" wide stock, just need to watch your feed rate. For a 1/2HP, 10" saw, that can only take a 1/2" wide blade, this thing ROCKS! It's done far more than pull it's weight in woodworking tasks. Where the bandsaw is staged in my shop, is right next to my sheet goods stock. Tucked in a corner until it's time to use it. One day, I was unloading/replenishing stock. I had all my hard wood stored in their racks. I had all my sheet goods (3/4" PF2S Maple) staged, but for some reason, I took my attention off of the job at hand. THE WHOLE STACK (18pcs) of 3/4" ply FELL ON ME! LUCKILY... THE BANDSAW WAS THERE! Poor lil Grizzly, didn't know what hit it! The bandsaw saved my life. If it weren't for the machine catching the brunt of the load, I would've been DEAD. Luckily, (not real lucky) but still lucky 😉 I only broke my back from the fall. Each and every time I am in the shop I give my bandsaw some 💕 love. I have since installed fall protection for my sheet goods, something that shouldn't have taken an injury to notice. Everything is working as expected, although this is my first band saw purchase. Setting up the tension and guides took some time, but if you follow the instructions it works great. Easy to access tension knob. The light can be hard to aim and keep in place at times, but my shop is so bright that it doesn't matter much. ... show more

Very nice machine. Quiet and well built. Only problem is the fence seems a little loose and hard to adjust.

What I like about the product is the bed with the rip fence. And it has a slow speed and fast speed in the pully system. Great for hard woods

    • I'm in love!
This thing is a beast! Yet small enough to move around my tiny shop. Built very well. I had a slight vibration when I first started to run it but it has gone away! I thing it was the blade breaking its self in! Worth every penny!

    • Not powerful enough
This bandsaw does not have enough power for resaw. The motor shuts down and I have to shut the saw down and remove the wood. It is good for small hobby or craft jobs. Don’t buy if you are planning anything thicker than an inch. Hopefully I can sell it and try something else. The fence is also very sloppy. I regret my purchase. ... show more
