    • Solid Value, But Midsection Support and Shoulder Pressure Relief Fall Short

Budget-friendly but struggles with midsection support Use: 4 months, ~194 lbs, broad shoulders, mostly side sleeper. Support: Started out fine, but after a month I noticed sagging in the hip/midsection area. This leaves my upper body slightly propped up in a “V” shape. Flipping the mattress head-to-foot helps for a bit, but the coils don’t feel strong enough to keep the spine aligned long term. Firmness: For people in my weight range (~190 lbs), this mattress feels quite firm. Lower body is supported, but side sleeping puts too much pressure on the shoulders. Lighter sleepers may not feel the sagging as much. If you need more cushion, the 14-inch model may be a better bet. Cooling: Works okay in colder months, but in warmer weather it traps heat. Not unbearable, but definitely on the warmer side. Price: I paid roughly $215 for the 12-inch model, which was a great deal at the time. The materials do feel surprisingly premium for this price range. Notes: Novilla doesn’t clearly state the depth of the individual foam layers (memory foam, transition or support foam), so keep that in mind if layer thickness is important for your comfort. Overall: For the price, it’s a fair hybrid that prevents deep sinkage. But if you’re heavier or broader in the shoulders, the coil strength and comfort may not hold up. ... show more

This king size mattress is well made (in Indonesia) and looks nice. We unboxed it and let it come up to full size over the recommended 72 hours. It is, however too soft and the lack of edge support makes the edges after 90 days on it too soft as well. I recently made a careless move at the gym and aggravated my hip. I'm generally in excellent physical condition and work out 4 days a week. I'm 5' 10" and weigh 175 lbs. I didn't feel much at the time, but when I woke up in the morning my entire leg was in pain. My doctor gave me some painkillers for a few days and scheduled PT. They expected me to rapidly recover, but 2 weeks later I am only about 80% better. When my doctor asked about the bed I was on I told him about it and he pinned the slow recovery on the mattress's lack of support. Fortunately, (so we thought) the manufacturer provides a 100 night refund (though Amazon only gives you 30 days through them), so we reached out to the manufacturer. They asked for a description of the problem and a thorough set of pictures to prove the condition I suppose. All of which we provided them with. We were inside the 100 days when we made the claim. So We've been sleeping on the Novilla 14-inch king-size hybrid mattress for the past month, and it's been a game-changer. Honestly, we didn't expect such comfort from a mattress at this price point. The mattress offers a medium-firm feel, leaning slightly towards the softer side, which suits our preference perfectly. The combination of gel memory foam and individually wrapped pocket springs provides excellent support and pressure relief. We've noticed a significant improvement in our sleep quality, waking up feeling refreshed and without the usual aches. Upon unboxing, the mattress took about 72 hours to fully expand, as recommended. Once expanded, it held its shape well and has maintained its structure over the past month. The cooling gel-infused foam layer does a great job at regulating temperature, ensuring we don't overheat during the night. Additionally, the motion isolation is impressive; we no longer disturb each other when shifting positions. Overall, this mattress has exceeded our expectations.
