It does not say what kind of wood. Works okay to me. Good design for easy installation. I would give it 5 stars but unfortunately, the QA is lagging. There are a few long scratches in the central of the headboard, likely existed even before the painting. Because of the reflection, not clear in distance. So I just kept it.

Absolutely horrible experience. Arrived without 2 key parts - the legs that attach the frame to the headboard. I contacted the manufacturer and within a few days they said they would send me a new bed as it is too large & heavy to the try to return. Great! I’m excited! The bed is beautiful. I never hear from them again. I called and left voicemails and emailed several times. I eventually contacted Amazon directly and they refunded me. I still wanted the bed so went to order it again and it had gone UP in price and wouldn’t be delivered for 2-4 weeks - with no guarantee it would have all its parts. I’m beyond frustrated as we have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor now for weeks.
