I am a big fan of Educational Insights games. As an early childhood special educator I use their games a lot with my students. This game teaches turn taking, following game rules, eye hand coordination as well as strengthening fine motor skills. However, the dragon scooper is very flimsy not very sturdy. The gem colors are nice but it would have been better if they used all primary colors red, blue, and yellow not only the secondary colors orange, purple and green. This game is one of my 3yo daughter’s favorites. The colors are bright, the game is easy, and she enjoys using the Ruby “scissors.” I let her pick up my gems too. It has definitely helped with hand eye coordination and dexterity. It’s made of high quality material. Nothing feels flimsy which is good for children in this age range. The media could not be loaded. It's easy to learn. Quality is great. The artwork is cute. It's for 2-4 players. The dragon opens like scissors. It's maybe a little too easy for my 4 yr old but she still loves playing it. Perfect birthday gift. I recommend buying it!
