The fence is easy to set up, it is heavy duty enough for my dogs. I wish connecting rods were sturdier but they worked well for the mama and puppies. So far no rust. Not too heavy to carry but heavy duty enough for the job.

    • Good fencing playpen for a small puppy.
Pattern Name: 16 Panels 32"W x 24"H
The fence sections themselves are very sturdy, and comes with 2 gate sections, perfect for a small puppy that cannot jump out of a 24" tall playpen. The ground stakes that come with it that also connects the sections together are too small in diameter and too short to hold the fence upright without it flopping all around unless you keep it in a square or octagonal shape, but the sections will still wobble a lot. I knew this before I ordered it from reading other informative reviews and knew what they did to resolve the issue. I went to Lowes and purchased replacement 1/4-in diameter x 3-ft L Zinc-Plated Steel Solid Round Rod. I bent the top inch of each 90 degrees so I could drive them into the ground with a hammer and also have a way to pull them back up when I needed to move sections. Now instead of having about 2 inches of much smaller rods in the ground I am able to have about 17 inches of much thicker diameter (and much stronger) rust resistant rods in the ground. In fact, i could put all the sections end to end in a straight line if I wanted to and they would still be very sturdy with zero wobble. This height was perfect for my basset hound, but are new puppy got really tall really fast, so we ordered a taller set, in fear she would be able to jump over. The only real issue with this style is the door base is higher and the basset hound had to jump into it and smaller/shorter dogs may have trouble getting in. ... show more

I love it! We have coyotes, deer, woodchucks etc... I can let them out quickly now- just open the back door & they are out and safe... The mini dachshund LOVES being out there- She jumps off the back step -airborne!- well at least an inch anyways lol- It is just so great not to have to mess with getting their harnesses and leashes on them and then walking around out back with them until they do their business... this makes life easy for me- and more fun for them! We bought 2 of these sets so we could make a big arena around our Motorhome for our dog to be off leash. It’s not very sturdy.Our dog is very well behaved and can be off leash just fine but most campgrounds require dogs to be on a leash at all times.
