I purchased the 13-in-1 hub because I wanted something to connect multiple monitors to my laptop so I could work more efficiently. This was one of a few that had everything I wanted and one of very few at a decent price point. It came in an okay timeframe. It was during the earlier stages of the pandemic so a lot of non-essential things were pushed back in delivery a bit. No biggie. Unfortunately, I did not know that the HDMI ports would not work on my brand new HP Pavilion x360 laptop as the built-in Type-C port is only for data transfer only and will not support audio/video. Since this was the sole purpose for buying this hub, it was a bit of a letdown, but not the hub manufacturer's fault whatsoever. I also purchased USB to Type-C connectors to bypass the issue, but that did not work either. I figured that a brand new, expensive laptop would have updated hardware. Read everything about a new computer before purchasing one. It did take the unit several attempts to finally connect with my laptop. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, restarting my laptop, and finally installing software recommended to my by the hub's manufacturer. After a couple of weeks, the unit just started to work correctly. No idea what had happened differently to make it finally work. It just did. It was quite frustrating but now it works nearly every time I go to use it. Customer service was very kind and helpful. A little pushy as far as requesting a review, which I did not want to give until I knew for sure that at least some of the unit was working properly. I no longer regret purchasing this hub. I do regret my HP laptop purchase though, as something this expensive should have more bells and whistles. I cannot attest to all of the functions working as they should since I cannot use part of them due to my situation, but the parts that are working are doing well. It is nice and small and convenient. I would say that if you need a hub this is one worth looking at due to features and cost. Just make sure that your laptop or desktop has a Type-C that supports more than just data transfer. ... show more

This is the second one I got. I got the first one about 2 years ago. I like the lean body but strong functions. It has all the ports I need! So I bought a second one when I have a new office.

This thing is perfect for content creators, graphic designers, artists and creatives. The card reader lets me load all my footage. Works great on my Mac and loaded up super quick. Also worked great on both my Dell XPS 13” and Latitude laptop with monitors without having to install drivers or anything. I even bring this when I have client meetings to display my presentation on their meeting room TVs. The HDMI ports also transmit sound to their TVs, which was important for me for my video presentations. I like how it’s aluminum and not plastic and super compact. I’ll have to get another one to keep in my backpack so I don’t have to keep unplugging it from my office! ... show more

Perfect solution for a Windows machine. It's exactly what I was looking for. My needs mostly fit a USB-C dock station, but I didn't want to pay $150 for that. And here comes this little guy. The most important thing I was looking for - 2 monitors. It has 2 HDMI outputs, no stupid duplicating, 2 real monitors. VGA obviously duplicates one of the HDMI's, no surprises, USB-C DisplayPort doesn't support more than 2 monitors. I use it with 2 HDMIs at 1080p 60Hz and it works very good. What also surprised me, it has 3 USB 3.0 and 1 2.0 as opposed by 2 USB 3.0 and 2 2.0 as every other dongle. It's an overkill, I had to plug my keyboard in 3.0 port (it doesn't need 3.0). Also a major thing for me is charging. My laptop needs 45 watts, and this little guy easily eats it. It just gets warm. My previous gaming laptop's 130 watts brick was twice as hot than this dongle with 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, external audio card, and 45 watt charger connected at the same time. I am also planning on using the wired internet, so it's also a great opportunity to use it as a dock, not a dongle. I dont even need the SD, microSD and VGA outputs, but it has it. So far works great. I just got it today for work from home, and everything I've plugged into it works pretty well. Build quality seems good, the case is made of metal and the ports seem solid enough. Everything I've plugged in seems to work fine. I've plugged in keyboard, VGA display, an audio device, and it works. One pleasant surprise, it has an internal LED light, so all the ports have a blue glow, gives it a nice aesthetic touch, and you can see the ports well in dim lighting. I wasn't expecting it, but it's a welcome feature. My one complaint is why have the two HDMI ports on opposite sides? Trying to plug in more than one display that's HDMI would be a pain. The form factor is just a little too cramped. But that's what I wanted, and it's what I got, it's just a little wonky if you actually use every port at once. Maybe I can get a USB C extension cable and then it doesn't matter what cables I have plugged in at what angle, and I can plug in to the thunderbolt port more easily. Without worrying how the rest of the cables all fit. I haven't tried charging my laptop with the dock yet, I may update if I find a charger. But the internal LED and other peripherals work fine without external power. ... show more

I bought this for my laptop so that I can use multiple devices not available onboard the laptop. It works for the first three devices, but the fourth and subsequent devices aren't available for use. I can remove one of the three devices and then another magically becomes available! Why can't you simultaneously use all the devices you connect with this? You can get a much cheaper one that has only three device inputs!! ... show more
