This thing is great. I bought it while I was in college just for fun, I had a little extra money. I was skeptical at first because it was pretty cheap, I only thought it would last a little bit, but this thing is a TANK. I use it almost every day, it’s super super easy to use, the ice is very consistent and it’s just a cute look! One thing that shocked me is how airtight the cage is. I’ll forget to clean it sometimes and all the ice will melt, but it will never drip out. You take the top part off and throw a towel in it and it’s clean. Super easy. Ive taken it to a few friends grad parties and made snow cones and it just powers through with no problems. You can make about 4-5 snow cones in one go. They recommend not using it for more than 5 minutes consistently but I haven’t hade any issues with that. One issue I continue to run into is the ice won’t push down onto the blades. The first few times it was pretty annoying but I figured out if you just push down on the chamber it works perfectly. But overall the value for the money is amazing. I would’ve guessed it was about $200. Only problem is the ice not pushing down by itself and the fact that it’s a little smaller. ... show more

Ohhhh this is super awesome. I’m 7 months pregnant so my body temperature has been very warm despite it being winter. I’ve been craving ice to keep cool and calm down my heartburn too, but I don’t want to mess up my teeth chewing the ice. This is perfect! I usually like it plain and my family likes using flavor syrups. I also like making slushies with 50/50 Dr. Pepper and Barq’s root beer (trust me it’s soooo good). So, I would definitely recommend getting a bag of ice or having crushed ice or even just smaller ice. The big cubes from the fridge just were having a hard time being shaved. You could do it. It's just they didn't fit as well so it wasn't working as nicely. Once we crushed it up just a little bit so they were smaller pieces it worked really well. It is a tad bit on the loud side. I saw that in reviews and figured I'd go with it anyway. My kids had closed their ears anticipation but then they're like oh it's not so bad. So I don't think the sound is that big of a deal. The door is a very tight fit. It took a little bit of tugging to open it. But maybe over time that'll loosen so that's probably a really good idea that it is tight. Very quick and easy to assemble. The little trade just slides onto the side. The top part the piece is fit in together and then it's a safety mechanism it won't turn on until you have everything spun into place. It was pretty easy to clean considering it was just ice and water. We do not put any thing else other than ice in here. We add all of our flavorings after. And honestly it makes a lot more than I thought it was going to. I know it says 20 but holy buckets does this hold a lot of ice. I had waited on this purchase cuz I wasn't sure and then a deal came up and I am very glad that I got it. Guess now the kids's birthday parties and movie nights are going to be extra special. Definitely the best shaved ice machine out there that doesn't break the bank. I have so many memories with this thing. My nana who passed away years ago bought me this very same machine when I was a kid. About two decades later my mother purchased the same one for my daughter's 8th birthday! This little machine can bring so much happiness and joy into a little one's life. And can bring so many memories I'm sure my daughter will forever remember her mammie getting this for her as I did with my mom's mom ! Shipping was fast box in excellent condition brand new no malfunctions no damage works amazing. If you're looking for more of a shaved ice machine where the ice isn't all chunky this is definitely your One stop shop!
