I was having my doubts as I was making sandwiches for my family of 6 because it was taking a bit longer than I expected but after having the sandwiches I’m sold! They were crispy (not crunchy and hard) and kept their firm unlike when you fry them in a pan. This product is amazing! 10/10!

I love toasted (grilled) Sandwiches, I don't like the "fatty" fried cheese sandwiches, rather have mine toasted wit minimum butter. I was really looking forward to making this work, first the slots are not wide enough, we have a favorite everyday store bought loaf, it was tuff to get two slices in without any filings, impossible with filings. So we went in search of thin cut bread to try. The next issue is that the outside burns before the inside get warm, trick is to microwave the sandwich first then toast, but that defeats the object, you have microwave rather than grilled. In the end I returned, still in search of the perfect grilled cheese sandwich maker. For now I toast the bread first but cheese in and microwave. The toaster is low quality and it's selling point is the toasted sandwiches, which it does not do very well, so better off with a better quality toaster. Reasons for return: Slots too small we didn't think it was worth keeping if we had to change our brand of "butter" bread. Didn't see the point in needing tp heat the middle first, would like toaster to do that and yes I know the two slices of bread act as an insulator. I still use microwave in my process but that post toast and we get to use a better quality toaster. ... show more
