I bought this for my husband as a gift. We go fishing and boating a lot, so we are constantly using ice. As we did not have a free water line to hook it up, we bought an adapter (maybe $5 at Lowe’s) and hooked it up to our water hose. We live in Florida and have it on our back lanai. It works well and produces a good amount of ice. We keep the ice set on the thickest setting and it will fill up the bin overnight. The bin keeps the ice from melting pretty well. It’s not meant to keep it frozen. I would compare the bins ability to keep ice cold to a styrofoam cooler. I would not recommend for a busy restaurant, as you do have to give the machine time to make ice, but for filling a cooler or two, it’s great. You just have to make sure to bag up the ice to put in a freezer. We have had this a month now and I am really glad we bought it.

I got my Northair Commercial Ice Maker Machine 270lbs Ice here on Amazon, the product worked for about 8 months and then stopped working because some strange failure. I talked to costumer support in China, and they offered zero solutions, they answered my emails every 8 or 10 days, until my supossed guarantee expired and then they said and i quote: "Sorry, Our machine has been discontinued for a long time, you can try it at a repair shop" This is obviously not true, they are still selling it here on Amazon. I actually tried to fix it locally, but nobody could do it because i need a special part that is only made for the machine and the seller say they don't have it. Now i'm holding a very expensive trash can.

I had so much resistance about spending so much money on other kitchen ice makers after ours broke. We had it in our budget but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay the thousands it would cost to get the other ones. We ordered this one and were a little concerned about the esthetics and keeping the ice frozen. Needless to say, we LOVE this ice machine ! It makes ice quickly and keeps it frozen for a while ! We are going to get a cabinet door to cover it as it’s a little awkward looking in our kitchen but well worth it ! We have 4 kids so this is awesome. We don’t worry about the freezer being opened 1000x a day and spoiling food. Get it !

I have been using this for 3 week now and it works great makes ice fast love that you can have 3 options for supplying the water bottle , or garden hose or main waters supply line a few issues I have is the ice maker looked bigger in picture and the ice does not come in cubes most the time and you have to basically break the ice in smaller cubes and the lid is gapped and ice don't stay frozen and melts

I have had this ice maker since sept of 2020.. It has produced ice continuously since i installed it.. I am GC in south Florida and we use ice every day for our jobs.. This ice maker fills the bill.. we empty it every day and by noon it is full again.. Highly recommend it.. I have it installed in my garage and hooked to a dedicated water line with a charcoal filter, with a permanent drain thru the wall of my garage.

Does not eject ice consistently. The machine tries to eject ice for 10-30 minutes but just makes a brick of ice that is over an inch thick. This eventually causes it to stop and show "E2" . Errors multiple times a day every day. Have contacted customer support multiple times, got 1 response, no responses after that. Has done this from day 1, we had hoped it just needed a "break in" period. It has now been 5 months Water is filtered. Deep cleaned weekly.

I have been wanting one of these in my garage for a long time. This machine out preforms what I thought it might do. It makes the ice fast and it's not near as loud as you would think it might be. I'm very pleased with the way it works.
