Kids actually like the taste — great zero-sugar DHA option

I bought these for my 3-year-old son to support his body during the cold and flu season. At this age it’s not always easy to find supplements kids are willing to take, so taste really matters for us. We use 1–2 gummy chews a day, usually with food. The texture is like a soft gummy candy, which my son actually enjoys. What I like most is that they are sugar-free, but still taste good. My son likes them and takes them without any struggle, which is a big plus for a parent. Good quality for the price and easy to use. I think these would work well for families with young kids who need a simple daily DHA supplement.

Great but…

Read the update below! So, I loved the ingredients and quality, however two things stand out to me. Firstly, they are not NSF, USP, or Consumer Labs certified/approved, and they do not display their third party testing results or agency. Secondly, and more importantly because even if the first thing were not enough of a deterrent considering there aren’t any other comparable choices available, the taste is awful. I noticed when I peeled the packaging off the gummies, they were extremely wet feeling and oily. That is to be expected I suppose, but the kids, 3 and 5, detested them! The 3 year old which is far less picky spat it out after chewing it for a minute. They aren’t a good option for us. If your children find them pleasant enough, then they are worth it. Mine did not unfortunately. I’ll have to make sure they consume enough through their diet. The smarty pants cherry berry contain some already, but not quite enough. Update: these goobers asked for it the next day and liked it! I’m still skeptical of the youngest one because he didn’t swallow it quick enough, but perhaps he will continue to take them. Fingers crossed. I still think it was worth a try, and I hope they get third party testing that we can see or certified by NSF or USP, if consumer labs could check these out, that would be great! Just try them, in the end the child is going to be the ultimate judge unless you can find a way to get them to take it regardless 🥴

Nordic Naturals Zero Sugar Children's DHA Gummy Chews Bad lot?

The Good: Kids Love Them & Quality Ingredients We’ve been buying Nordic Naturals Zero Sugar Children's DHA Gummy Chews for a while now—purchasing them routinely from both Vitamin Shoppe and Amazon—and overall, the product itself is fantastic. Finding an omega-3 supplement for kids that actually tastes good can be a real challenge, but my kids absolutely love the flavor of these chews. I love that they are zero sugar, and I truly feel like they make a noticeable difference in supporting their brain function and general focus. As a parent, knowing they are getting quality DHA without a fight every morning is a huge win. The Problem: Defective Blister Packaging (Batch Issues) Unfortunately, the most recent batch we received has had a significant quality control issue regarding the individual blister packaging. When pushing the gummies out, the outer edges release, but the middle section gets completely stuck to the plastic lining. No matter how carefully you push or peel, a good chunk of the gummy stays stuck inside the bubble. Instead of getting the full dose, we are losing about 20% to 30% of the product stuck in the wrapper each time. At this price point for a premium supplement, wasting almost a third of every chew due to adhesive issues or heat-sticking in transit is really frustrating. Final Verdict The formula and taste get a 5/5—my kids enjoy them and the health benefits are there. However, this current batch seems defective on the packaging side. Nordic Naturals needs to address the blister foil backing or formula texture so the gummies pop out cleanly without leaving half the dose behind.
