Bought a 4 pack of the lights for a bedroom in the basement. After only a couple of weeks 3 of the 4 lights just stopped working. Checked the bulbs in other sockets and checked the sockets with other bulbs... they were dead. I was a little upset to say the least. I did a quick search and found their web site and reached out to customer service not knowing what to expect. Well, within 24 hours they had 3 new bulbs mailed out Priority USPS to me with a return label for the defective bulbs! The 5 stars is because of their customer service. I really do love the lights themselves. They are pricy so I was very dispappointed when one of the 4 lights did not work straight out the box. I am hopeful that either the seller or Amazon will replace the defective light. Update - Amazon is refunding me the cost of th entire set of lightbulbs and I do not have to return them. ... show more

    • Expensive for LED bulbs
Perhaps there is a technical explanation for why these are so expensive. Some very rare earths in the coatings to create the output spectrum? Still, the CREE high CRI bulbs (back when I could still get them locally) didn't cost nearly this much. That and the user reviews complaining about short life. I needed two for sure so I ordered a four-pack to have a couple spares handy. These are for some product photography I plan to do soon, so I was willing to go the distance for the claimed full, even spectrum. UPDATED April 4, 2022: The bulbs produce beautiful photographic results, but with the one-stop absorption of light by the umbrellas, the exposure at EI 800 is f/16 at one-half second. I am using a tripod so this works but I'd prefer a brighter illumination so next I will be trying the Cree 125W-equivalent bulbs (ASIN B089HPRPHQ). While about half the price of the NorbSMILE bulbs, the Cree's CRI is still in the 90+ range. ... show more

i’m on the last bulb already so i thought i’d make a review. 3 out of 4 of the Norb Smile lightbulbs died within 6 months. i will never purchase these again or recommend them.

    • Good, bright light
I'm using 3 in my home office, and the 4th one in my bathroom. Both cases, the light is good and bright. Good color rendering, no warm-up. It's well worth the extra cost to get good LEDs if you spend a lot of time in the same room as them. These are cool white, rather high color temperature.     • Issues with dimming.
I thought I had found the bulb I was looking for but, I was wrong. While these bulbs worked great for a month or so, after that they begin to flicker, and two of them have stopped working totally. We use these bulbs on the lower floor of our home in our animal rooms, and are almost always dimmed to between 50-70%. We are having no issues with the other fixtures on the same dimmer that this bulb is on. I am going to try the remaining 2 bulbs to see if maybe it is just a manufacturing issue with the 3 I have used already. At this time I would not recommend these bulbs to anyone using them in conjunction with a dimmable fixture or wall dimmer. ... show more

I bought these for my sensory perception overload son. He says they really help. Nice and bright and no flickers like mentioned in other reviews. I'm hopeful they last a long time. I did the reading about the CRI numbers and how they help boost mood and energy. These bulbs were the highest number I could find and also turned out to be the highest price bulbs I found as well. I can't take away from it just because I don't think it made all that much of a difference for me. I like the color of these bulbs and how well they light up my office. But I don't think I can justify the price compared to similar K value bulbs. Update: I'm lowering my rating. I've been using these bulbs for the last 6 months in my office. At least 1 of the bulbs has already started an annoying flicker. They should last more than 6 months. Update 2: Second bulb has also now started flickering. Since I need 3 bulbs in my office, I have no choice but to buy other replacement bulbs. Don't waste your money on these. ... show more
