The waterproof bottom not only keeps our wood floors safe but grips securely on all sides! Annnddd unlike others we’ve tried, there’s no latex smell, which is a huge plus. It’s soft, plush, and adds a luxurious feel underfoot making our rug look even more high quality. The rug pad came with some folds from shipping but it flattened within the day and now lays so flush and nicely. We liked it so much we bought one for my in-laws! They are very thrilled with it as well!! Their old one was similar but not nearly as grippy and has a porous bottom that wasn’t waterproof and harbored mold! Would DEFINITELY buy again!

These are good pads. Their adherence to the floor is excellent. I gave adhesion 4 stars because the carpets drift off of the pads, albeit very slowly. I have a pair of 9' x 2' hall runners. I notice once a month that my carpet has slid a tiny bit off the pad. It's trivial to reposition the carpet onto place. Your mileage will vary on slippage, depending on the texture of your carpet's undersurface. I am allergic to latex, so there is no way I am going back. The pad creates a softer feel to the carpet compared to the thin, mesh latex pads I had on the floor before. It also adds a tiny bit of insulation, which is important for my house since it is on a slab.

The pad was a perfect fit for the rug "top" I had purchased. I easily cut off the 1 1/2 foot excess length to match the 8 foot length rug, but the 2 ft 6 in width was perfect. The pad is fairly thin itself. I wanted that because if it is too thick it becomes a trip hazard. So far it is not moving on the floor. I don't know if it really is water proof since it's not been tested.

After a new floor install I can safely put a area rug in knowing the floor below is guarded from accidents and spills. I also bought a thick felt pad as well. Highly recommend!

Got this for my dining room rug, which is a high traffic area. I wanted to protect my hardwood floors from not only pets but accidental spillage. The top of the pad grips the rug, and the bottom is rubbery, preventing it from sliding on the floor. For the past several months, the pad has been keeping my rug secure in its spot. It is decently thick to give the rug a bit of bounce. Shearing of the excess edges took some effort, and I had to use my tool shears to get the job done.

We have a standard 8 x 10 area rug, I had to cut the sides down and it isn’t long enough, but we are keeping it because it is water repellent. Also, it was bent in 1/2 when it shipped, we are having a difficult time getting it to lay flat, which is causing the area rug to buckle. Our old one was thicker and felt better on the feet, but since our kitty had an accident, it needed to be replaced. Would look for a better pad.
