It does the job. Upon opening it definitely had an odd odor emitting from it, but once I got it down in place and the rug on top the odor is not noticable. It is easy to cut if you need to alter it to fit your rug. I knew when buying that I would need to cut it as my runner is an odd shape. I was able to use three scrap pieces to put under another rug by the front door. Both rugs no longer shift!

Have to trim to rug size which is not difficult. Then put in place wanted and carefully set your rug on it. It holds wonderfully at first. But if you move it around, it still works okay just not wonderfully. I have had mine for over a year and okay is still good for me. It is used in a bathroom so moist air does not affect it’s grip.

I put this under my outdoor rugs. It seems to extend the life very well. The weather doesn’t affect it hardly at all. Takes a long time. But, it’s worth the effort.

I bought one of these pads and it worked so good that I bought another one. 3 months later when I went to pick up my rug along with the pad I found that the pad had left a sticky waffle pattern residue on my wood floor. It took a lot of elbow grease to get this off the floor. I will no longer use these pads because of fear of damaging the floor. The description of this product lists several types of floors which it is not to be used on. I guess a refinished wood floor is one of them. I did some research and will be buying a more expensive natural rubber non-slip pad.
