This thermostat is solid/durable, easy to install, easy to use, easy to see. It isn't a SMART thermostat - which is its best feature. The utility company will never be able to take control of it. I replaced both thermostats in my house with this one - and I bought an extra one for backup, because I am sure it won't be long before we are not able to buy the ones the utility company can't control. ;-) ... show more

I’m really disappointed in this thermostat. For a month, we were happy with it and liked its basic features - then it stopped working. We even had an AC tech out to diagnose why our AC wasn’t coming on. It didn’t take him long to figure it out - bad thermostat. We’re past the return window, so I’m double bummed. Update: The company reached out to me and refunded my money. I added a few stars for their attention to my situation. It's likely that I just received a "lemon" thermostat that wasn't representative of the majority of what they sell. In any case, I'm happy with the company itself, it's customer service, and how promptly they rectified the issue. ... show more

I've had programable ones in the past. They always have their problems, setting times, changing programs. You don't even have to remove it from the wall to replace batteries.

So far this has been quite good. I'm only using it for a 70+ year old millivolt gas floor furnace that originally had an old mercury bulb type stat. The screen is easy to read and the buttons are large and responsive, and it seems to maintain an accurate temperature (as well as that old a system can) ... show more
