Placing wire stickers is easiest with two people to make sure you get them on the right wires when removing old thermostat. All battery operated thermostats should be designed like this one. The display is large and easy to read, the buttons are well designed and easy to use and the battery compartment design should be a requirement for all such thermostats. The batteries are located behind a little door on the front of the unit and do not require pulling the unit off the wall to replace, absolutely wonderful. Got tired of trying to understand the Nest that was in my house when I bought it….that thing had a mind of its own and repeated attempts to reprogram it failed!! This basic non green politically incorrect thermostat it wonderful. its for a single hvac system, one AC, one heat. 5 wires that match the wires in the wall. 10 minute install, works as advertised. set a temp and walk away, manually change the temp when you want to.
