Received my detector 2 days ahead of schedule and I’ve already been out hunting for treasure. I did a lot of research and definitely recommend watching the YouTube videos on this device. I’m not in the least bit tech savvy and was nervous about how I’d be able to figure putting it together let alone using it BUT it was SO EASY. Well packaged. Open box, click it together and hit thee start button. Customer support was so fast to respond when I asked about the pin pointer and whether I could use it in the water. Updated Review: Well I have to say that this company stands behind there sales 💯 and goes above an beyond. Issue I had was that the detector was missing the Wireless headphones and the cable that goes with it. I did in fact verify I did order the correct version and I'm sure they also verified the order. Well I contacted the seller and got a reply within 24 hrs. Within 48 hrs my missing items were on there way to me by UPS. Received them in excellent condition and couldn't be more satisfied with the service I was given. A big thank you to Drew McIntyre an High Plains Prospecting for there outstanding support an customer service. I recommend them for any needs you have with metal detecting big or small. They may be in Kansas but there service goes above an beyond what you would think. Give them a try you will be glad you did. I know I am and will be long time customer to come. Ordered the Simplex+ WHP Received it excellent condition of box. Unit updated to newest software by supplier? Had a update sheet with info included. But awaiting a reply on missing items in box. Then will further update this review to be fair an honest to business. Over all looks to be a solid built unit an has features that most users pay higher dollars for. Hands down the best machine on the market for the money! This is my second one....I bought it as one my family or friends could use to go with me, and as a backup. I sold a machine that is over $600 new so I could use the cash to purchase this one, as I like the performance of this one much better compared to the other. If your looking to get into metal detecting and have never bought a machine your probably thinking which one as there's literally hundreds, but take my word you can't go wrong with this one. If you searched then you know that to be true, and you also know the prices vary from $50 to thousands, so it makes it hard to know what to buy. On this machine you get a $400-$700 value for $250 as far as performance and functions this machine has. Just compare the functions available on this machine to everything else out there, then the price, then the reviews, then also keep in mind once you purchase this machine for all that it has already then remember it can still get better after purchase with the updates that Nokta Macro makes available. Since I purchased my first detector it has had two updates that added many new features and also increased it's performance levels. No other machine on the market for the price has any of these values available. Hope this helps someone looking at purchasing a machine as I remember looking myself and being overwhelmed by all the different machine types, prices etc etc.! Happy Hunting! ... show more

First off I love this unit. Easy to set up and use. Excellent detection profile. Lightweight as well, so I'm not wearing myself out on a full day detecting. Now on to my headline. Apparently a recent batch of these went out with bad latches on the shafts. My first day in the field the upper latch broke off when trying to open it. The good thing is that the authorized repair folks know about it and will fix it. They will also just send you a replacement latch in the mail and let you fix it yourself. Or at least mine did. Now I don't have to ship it out, wait for repairs to be done, and then wait for it to ship back. Awesome customer support in my book. ... show more

I’ve only had my Simplex for a short time, but I very happy that I purchased it. I’ve watched several videos of head to head testing between the Simplex, and the Equinox 800. The simplex has a price point with the head phones of $339.00. The Equinox has a $900.00 price point. In every test the Simplex acquitted it’s self very well against the Equinox. In the field since I’ve owned it it has exceeded my every expectation. If you want advanced features and performance at an entry level price buy the Simplex. It’s definitely a Best Buy. ... show more

After doing my homework, I went on a three day hunt with a buddy…. After a short time I was bringing out some excellent finds out of the hole…. It may have been beginners luck….
