The only thing my 7 year old granddaughter wanted for her birthday...her mom (who really restricts sweets) relented IF it stays at my house and isn't used too often. It is great for SMALL batches. I was worried about the clean up, but the sugar hardens and then pretty much pops off of the metal parts and plastic. The plastic bowl and shield are easy to clean and if you let it totally cool, it doesn't take long to clean it up. The size of the cotton candy creation is about the size of a large orange....perfect size for sugar-restricting moms. You do need to let the machine warm up for 5 minutes before you try to make it AND a few more minutes (3-5) AFTER the sugar is added. Since it didn't come with sugar I did order some flavored sugar and we used that. I haven't tried regular sugar yet, and don't see that happening since it only holds a tablespoon of sugar at a time to make the sugary treat. The second treat can be made with less waiting time for the sugar to warm up. If you have more than two kids (or adults) waiting for their serving, it would be very frustrating....not something I'd try at a birthday party (unless you had a lot of fun activites to keep kids entertained instead of waiting anxiously for their treat.

This was a Christmas gift and it barely works. It is easy to put together and use but that’s where the good stuff ends. It starts to produce floss after a few minutes but then it heats up so fast that it just starts melting the cotton Cindy’s before it’s even done. They could barely get any on their stocks. The kids were so disappointed .

It worked for like an hour. It was so cute and compact and I really liked it and I used it for an hour and it worked ok didn’t make the cotton candy build up fast. And then it stopped working. Stopped heating up completely. I would have loved to keep it, if it was working cause if it was and didn’t stop it was really nice.

This is my second cotton candy machine. The first hardly did anything and I soon stopped fighting it and gave up. This one looked so small, close to half the size of the other. I washed the parts and warmed up the machine without much hope. I was using floss sugar to give it every chance.In about two minutes I had a reasonably shaped cone. Later i tried regular granular sugar and got a very nice cone, my previous machine would not even melt regular sugar. The only reason I gave it four stars is that it gets very hot. I almost expected the plastic case to melt. It looks good, works well and now maybe I can realize my wish to have root beer cotton candy.

The media could not be loaded. The product is absolutely amazing. I have been using it for more than 2 months and works perfectly. I have created cotton candies using brown sugar, white sugar and it works fine. you have to let it heat it up for a minute or so and post that pour spoonful of sugar and then the magic starts. The product came well packaged as well. Have uploaded the video while unpacking it. So far we have used it on daily basis and is working perfectly. Kids are loving it and more than kids we are also eating lot of cotton candies :) Cleaning wise it could have been better as sometimes sugar gets dripped on heating element however apart from that it is fun to use. Make sure kids don't touch it while running it as it heats up in the middle.

My 9-year-old daughter has a blast making cotton candy with this! It works great! I do wish it would be a bit easier to clean, but I’m still giving it 5/5 stars because I expect it to be messy. After all it is cotton candy. The product is designed to come apart quite a bit to assist with cleaning.

I always read reviews on anything I purchase before making the purchase. My husband purchased this for our kiddos to enjoy.. we were all so very excited when it arrived. Kids wanted big cotton candy clouds like the ones from the circus but the amout of sugar that goes into the center isn't enough so we had to turn it off mid point to add more to make it even a medium size that they were content with. Had to clean the crusted candy on the edges time and time again or it would stop functioning right and wouldn't make more cotton candy. Over all out of 5 stars I give it a 1.5 definitely time consuming and makes a huge mess slinging sugar all around.
