I purchased the nocs standard issue 8x25 binos as a second set, wildlife observation is difficult with 2 people and 1 pair of binos. The clarity is decent not great, you may find a cheaper alternative that works as well. The durability of the standard issue 8x25 seems really good, they've survived being treated like toy binoculars by a five year old on a woods walk.....so for the elevated price point, relative to features it seems you get an extra measure of durability. The rubber armor is great looking and the color options give the nocs great findability inside of a pack/dry bag. Overall the standard issue work well for their intended purpose as a second set for less than careful hands young or old. The compact nature of the design also lends well to a light and fast modality.

Work great and easy to adjust to get a clear magnified view. I use them mostly for birds but also not bad for some simple sky watching like bright planets and the moon. I also like the small (easily comes along for a hike) size and the feel which offers a quality “no-slip” grip. Highly recommended.
