Not room darkening; the blinds are pretty thin and delicate. I would not recommend if you have a cat the peaks out the window. I was hoping it would be darker, but no sunlight seeps through. The blinds were extremely easy to install by myself. Very secure on a tile surface. Doesn't sag in the middle of a 46" set. Extremely easy to raise, but more difficult to pull down. I had to angle the blinds out from the window to get them all the way to the bottom, or it would go up am inch. The wand is very long but that works great for me since I installed it behind my tub. I’m in awe of how well these worked in our new home. They were so much cheaper than going somewhere else. They appear so nice and you can NOT tell the difference that they don’t drill in. They are so durable and stay up so well (it’s been 8 months since we put ours up and they have stayed put). It blocks out most of the light. Shades broke within 12 months and seller refuses to offer help other than a 8% discount on new shades. I was thrilled about these no drill shades and installed them in a decorative window where I only would have to use them occasionally. Initially everything looked fine but then the problems started: * The blinds would get harder and harder to pull down, while initially smooth and easy to adjust, eventually they became so difficult to lower than the handle / clip that come with it comes off ever time I pull on it now. I have to hold the blind and pull it down. * The holding mechanism does not stay put, the blinds now shift when I lower them. * As of a week ago, the blinds cannot be raised properly anymore. It takes multiple attempts and they get stuck in the middle. They are now useless to me. All of these issues started after using them for only a few days since I do need them lowered for this window on a regular basis. When I contacted the seller, they ignored the fact that 1 year is not a typical lifespan for window blinds and jumped to the fact that the 1 year warranty had just ran out by a mere few days. This is what bad customer service looks like. Unishades is selling a poor quality product and here and hopes that you don't notice - well at least not for 12 months. ... show more

Love how quick and easy these are to install! Literally takes less than 10 minutes. And they go up and down with ease! Only issue is, the wider and longer they are, the less easily they go up and down. It’s necessary to put them up and down to open and close windows throughout the day. The harder I pull down, the more worried I am that the tension mount will come loose from the top of the window frame. Also noticed that the wider and longer blinds really only go up and down if the blind slats are in a down position. Of the 12 blinds that I ordered, only one is giving me a problem that I need to return. It does not go up or down no matter what I do. ... show more

These are nice. It took me all of 10 minutes to install 2 of them. Nice to not have to do any kind of screwing or nailing in fixtures. I got the gray very pretty. They even include a hand guide making it easy to put up and down. Very nice quality. The size was exact. They fit tight so no worries about putting them up and down. The cordless is nice no worries about pets or little children getting tangled. The gray is a nice soft medium gray. They aren't room darkening but do block the heating from the sun ... show more

Love these! I purchased the color black. Super easy and fast to install. Blocks out the light superbly! I took a before photo of my curtains closed during the day, another with my curtains closed during the day with the blinds installed and another after dark. The photo after dark is important because the street lights would shine through the edges of our curtains and it drove my husband crazy. During installation, I discovered that my window is apparently a little wonky in size difference from the top half to the bottom half so I had to trim the slats on the blinds as they went down the window.
