  • Not high quality
Handle looks dirty and scratched - as if the item had been used before. The blades are thin and slip out of holders easily. Or they tear. I tried to saw through some thin wood and couldn’t get it to saw along a line. One blade snapped after 1/2 inch of sawing. I returned immediately. Maybe it works for jewelry better? ... show more

  • Great for fine cutting
I use this fine tooth saw for cutting thin brass, wood, plastic and other thin metal 1/8” to 1/16” thk. I haven’t used it on sheet metal but I am sure it might work. I mainly use it for brass sheet, wood and plastic in my model ship building. It’s a bargain as it comes with a nice assortment of blades. Changing blades is easy also. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Had difficulty getting the blades out of packaging at first
Got a ton of blades as promised, didn’t have any difficulty with the screws/bolts like some people did (maybe the assembly lineman didn’t have hulk strength for me idk) getting the blades out was a bit difficult at first, my tip is get some pliers like dull blunt ones, and grab a single blade with them and pull it out, use some caution because it is of course a blade meant to cut. Otherwise I like them, I use them to modify hot wheels like a nerd. But that’s why I bought and I enjoy it! ... show more

  • Saw is fine, blades are *literally* useless with all but papersoft materials
Saw is great. You cannot cut soft pine with these terrible blades. If you're okay with using 2-3 blades (and that means unscrewing the things and re-attaching everything multiple times a cut) then this is a good nuff value. It's got enough blades to keep an occasional 1-2 cuts a year hobbyist in business for decades. If you actually want to enjoy cutting and do so on a regular basis, buy this and you'll have blades to last almost as long as it'll take the good blades you ordered from germany/japan to arrive. Which am I? Let's just say, I spent twice as much on a pack of blades from the swiss as I did on this saw... ... show more

  • Blades break if you look at them wrong.
I'm not entirely clear on what sort of metal one can expect to actually cut with this saw. The frame is well made. The clamps that hold the blades are a little awkward to use, but manageable. However, the blades are less than useless. Even the slightest pressure on soft metal and they break. I was extremely careful trying to make some simple cuts in a penny, and the blades kept snapping. I shortened the blade length to try and make it more resistant, but no luck. I finally had to return it. ... show more
