  • Amazing build quality, feature full. Amazing build quality, feature full.
I’ve owned a few scooters before, including Segways and Gotrax, and I’m happy to share my thoughts. This scooter is definitely a 5-star! It’s a great value for the price, around $400. I’ll go over the pros and cons, focusing on what’s great for this price range. PROS: - It’s very well-built, just like a Segway. It’s way better than a Gotrax. - You don’t have to assemble it. - The features are pretty good, but most other scooters online only have a few of these: (1) Large pneumatic tires, (2) dual braking (regenerative and drum), (3) brake light, front light, turn signal, (4) front suspension, (5) a great app to change settings and lock. (6) foldable handles - It has a small turn radius compared to Segways and Gotrax. - The handles are very tall, at 48 inches. This is the first scooter I’ve ever filled that’s the right handle height for me, being 5’10”. Quote seriously, one of the tallest scooters for under 1000. - The handles are wide because they can fold. - Great app. You can customize the regeneration, acceleration, and top speed in the app. You can also have a custom mode you can switch to by pressing the power button. CONS: - There’s no easy way to get around small obstacles like stairs. There’s no handle hook or quick folding. And it’s almost 40 lbs, which is pretty heavy. - nitpick: there’s no place to hang a bag. Often there’s a hook. - Bluetooth is a bit unstable. and you need it to unlock the scooter. (5 seoncds hold on the ower button locks the schooter) - The app is not as polished as the Segway app. Segway allows you to do more things to your scooter. - The front suspension is a bit short, I think it has only 15mm stroke. So it’s more of a gimmick. All in all. greatly recommended. ... show more

  • Quality for the price
Color: gray Size: 100F - 600W/17.4MPH/18Mi
We've used this for a few weeks now and it's really good, quality scooter. The ride is much smoother than I thought it would. The only negatives so far are that the power and signal buttons are already wearing down fast. It's also gone into a beeping frenzy a few times which I still don't understand, but assume could be something to do with bluetooth pairing. ... show more

  • BATTERY IS GARBAGE
Color: gray Size: 100F - 600W/17.4MPH/18Mi
HORRIBLE, a 100% charged battery doesn't even last for 4 miles; the app is ridiculous, and the customer service is terrible. They promise 19 miles, yet I could barely use it at all. Don't buy this piece of junk. Not to mention it's heavy—they built it with quality materials, but the battery, app and customer service are absolute garbage. ... show more

  • Good scooter, okay performance. + Good support.
As my first scooter, it has been a fairly good experience so far over the last ~3 months. While the battery life and max range are less than advertised, it still gets me to work consistently. The speed is great, and the suspension really helps with bumpy roads. I have never used the turn signals as the buttons are in a pretty awkward spot and most of the time my hands cover the lights so it is kind of useless. The only issue I have had so far is that in the second month the rear tire's valve stem started leaking air. The part request process was very easy and I got it within a week. However, I kind of messed it up when trying to fix it since it was kind of hard for me to get the nut out, so I opened up another ticket to send it in for repair. I sent the scooter back for repair on May 6 and received it fully working again on May 23. Overall I'm pretty happy with the scooter itself. It's great for the price. Tip: Keep the original box! I threw mine away and had to send it back with one of U-Haul's sport utility boxes, so they do accept it if you don't send it with the original box but it's still better if you keep it because it is a pain to find a box that you can put the scooter in comfortably. ... show more

  • I’m so impressed.
Color: gray Size: 100F - 600W/17.4MPH/18Mi
This scooter is HEAVY but built with absolute quality. I’m honestly impressed. I feel safe on this thing, as does my family. Folding handle bars are awesome. We have one other different brand scooter and everyone prefers this one. I’m honestly impressed. So glad we took a chance to get a different kind - this is better for sure! Only had it about a month and have used it a LOT and so far no issues… will update later if that changes. This powerful little scooter is definitely the family’s favorite! ... show more

  • Its alright - some issues - not bad Its alright - some issues - not bad
I’m a student who chose to spend the price of a semester of parking for this e-scooter .This was my first electric scooter and after a few months of everyday ish use (mon-thu) , here’s my experience with the niu 100f : - Since it folds, it fits in my trunk (18 accord) and I’m able to take it into some restaurants if it’s not very busy and fold it /place it under the table since there’s hardly any bike racks near them. It’s pretty fast to fold and unfold - Charging doesn’t take that long , I leave it charging overnight and it’s always 100% by the morning - I sometimes stay late and have to drive back to my car and the front lamp does illuminate the sidewalk enough to see the path and the blinkers are very helpful as to be seen when making a left turn in the left lane. It has a brake light too . - my campus is near a lot of restaurants / fast food places and I’ve found it very convenient that I don’t have to go to my car, wait 10 min in traffic just to drive around the campus , find a spot , eat, drive back and park again and walk all the way back to my hangout spot , when I can just go on the scooter, eat there and drive back to my spot , no waiting in traffic nor looking for a good parking spot just quick go and back . - the brake feels good, although I don’t use it much but instead the regen / off throttle - the “18” mile of range is not close to what I would get on a single charge . I pretty much only use the Sport mode since using eco feels so sloww. And with it , I’d get around 2.5-3.5 miles before the battery would get to around 50%. Which for me was like 4 0.7mile trips (kinda flat terrain) . Using eco mode limits you to like 9 mph which is when you’d get closer to the 18 mile range. If you drive on eco , not much of an issue. - the display /screen is a SCRATCH magnet . And the buttons are cheap. Since the handles fold , the screen is the point of contact with the ground on its side. My FIRST time I took it, I made the mistake of laying it on the screen side in my trunk and when I took it out, the screen and buttons where scratched / worn from sliding around. I ONLY lay it on the bell side now . - if you have to carry something big /bulky , it’s really bad since you need BOTH hands on the bar or else you fall . I have a reusable bag with me in case a situation like that arrises . Walking is the best solution in my case - I parked the scooter on my campuses bike/scooter racks, and sometimes when I power it on after unracking it, I’d get an error 02! And it would not let me use it . I believe it’s cause the tire fits in between the poles where the tires are supposed to go and so it rests on the brake lever next to the tire. The only way to get rid of the fault code for me was either waiting a while or moving the scooter back and forth white squeezing the brake . - Didn’t come with a phone mount so you have to buy one for like 25$ -You need an app in order to change some settings of the scooter like turning off kick to start - only solid place to secure a lock is in between the two holes at the base of the stem - I have had it overheat / lock me out due to driving it on grass 3-4 inch tall I haven’t had any BAD issues but just some that could be fixed . I don’t regret purchasing this scooter and actually wish I’d gotten one sooner instead of paying 550 a year in parking passes. It’s not perfect but not bad either . ... show more

  • Nice scooter with room for improvement
Color: gray Size: 100F - 600W/17.4MPH/18Mi
After 1 week of use. Build quality: Good Weight: Pretty heavy for hand carry Ride quality: Suspension works great for city Battery life: Short, but more than enough for my use Cons: Need the APP to turn off the "kick start" mode, a bit annoying Twisting style throttle need at least 2 fingers to use but you need the same finger to use the turn signal. With the aggressive regen braking, when you try to touch the turn signal, the braking can cause dangerous. End up not using the turn signal at all. Seems no way to turn off the sound for the turn signal even with APP ... show more

Color: gray Size: 100F - 600W/17.4MPH/18Mi
The scooter has it all plus more than its more expensive competition from Segway. The folding handlebars are a nice touch and the front compression springs dampen the ride. The online app is a little more difficult than the Segway ninebot E2 Plus ll. Its height is two more inches higher at 48 inches over the Segway. It folds easily and is compact to store with the folding handlebars and probably a little more stable to control with the longer handle parts than the Segway. Both are quality built, Scooters. The NUI scooter is on the right in the photo. ... show more
